Mano Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 LOL. Don goes with "Fake News" as explanation of Wazzu not being ranked higher. Maybe after next week when they play an opponent with an actual pulse they get ranked higher if they win?

KUGRDON Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Neither has Alabama. WSU BEAT NMSU about the same as Alabama did. Moreover he has UW higher than both polls do and they’ve beaten an FCS team and the team slated for 5th place in Pac 12 North. Other examples abound. Moreover, every voter in the country took WSU’s cupcakes into account, Wilner came in 4 spots below the consensus. I think WSU will lose next week so it’s not a big deal. It’s the pattern that’s interesting. 6 Pac teams higher than polls? Why?

HLB Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Much ado about "nothing" …. None of the polls referenced mean anything in relation to the playoffs. The only poll that matters doesn't come out until the first weekend in November, by the CFP Committee. Otherwise, all of these polls are no different or better than you or I making up our own poll.

Brilliant deduction...you’re correct. But it still comes down to perception of those in the know and there is no way to remove that bias.

Utefan1211 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Michigan is NOT a top 10 team. They are barely a top 5 in their league. They will end up 9-3.
utenation Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Why are we still feeding this troll? Let him fade away guys.

azgreg Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Just now, KUGRDON said: It was rhetorical question. I answered it anyways.
KUGRDON Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 And nothing wrong with that. Your comment that it was his reasoning not yours made it seem like I was asking you his reasoning. I wasn’t.
All Hail Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 How is UW ranked higher than Cal? Both have played FCS teams although Cal beat the higher ranked team. Both played each other and Cal won on the road. What has UW done to deserve a better ranking than Cal?
