The sad part is that someone merely needs to make the claim to start shit. By the time someone attempts to refute the claim it's to late. It goes viral. 1000 times more people see the false claim then see the correction.

RW Media has done a great job teaching people to over react to bs than taking a moment to to find the reality of the situation.

Because RW media values clicks/eyeballs above all else.  It's all about the $.  Capitalism has literally ruined everything in this country, from health care, to education, to news.  I really don't know why more people don't recognize that fact.  We used to have an equal-time doctrine.  Not anymore; there's money to be made in outlandish lies, misogyny, racism, etc.
