CRBuff Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 And jalapeño, I don’t particularly care about people’s religious preferences....too each their own. I do, however, have an issue with religious beliefs being put on me. Your religion may or may not be mine, so why is one set of rules the ones we have to use and obey? If you want to, great, just leave it out of politics and my life please.

I just find it interesting how religion in many forms leads to real decisions that affect everything.. It's pure madness in my book.. Millions of lives have been taken in the name of religion. People with intelligence making decisions based on unproven myths.. scary..

Bad is bad, (catholic priests, holy wars, chopping heads off in the Middle East). You don’t get to hide behind “religious differences”.

I have given this board a break from my presence for months and that time is coming up soon (after college basketball's regular season) until college football starts warming up around Memorial Day. I will refrain from discussing about the bible for now but anyone who talks negatively or mocks evangelical voters can expect me to respond with scripture.

I just would rather evangelicals not force their religion down my throat. I’m happy you have found peace there, but it may not be for everyone. Federal policy should not be framed around certain people’s beliefs, don’t you agree?

That is why there are laws governing churches out there plus our country enforces the laws on the books.

I agree that federal policy should not be framed around certain people's beliefs...there is history of that happening in the past and one of the big reasons why we broke away from England in the first place. I'm just disappointed that the DNC doesn't appear interested in defending the first amendment rights of everyone and that is what pushed me from being independent like you to being solidly in the GOP's camp.

I’m curious, where/when did the dnc restrict your first amendment rights? And every one of our presidents has been a Christian.

Maybe every single POTUS said they were Christian but did they truly practice what they believe in? There were rumblings that Obama was Muslim instead of Christian. It doesn't mean there can't be wolves in sheep clothing.

Where were your religious liberties criticized/attacked? And religion is intensely personal. There were not rumblings about Obama, they were bullshit attacks on a mans faith. It all seemed very unchristian frankly. Looking at how they live their lives, of you removed the r and d you’d believe Obama was the Christian, not trump. You must agree with that.

Another four years of Trump would be more likely to keep it that way. Obama didn't help himself when he slipped his tongue that he was Muslim. That was straight from the source himself. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/sep/7/obama-verbal-slip-fuels-his-critics/
glduck Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Trump has done more to restrict religious liberty than any Dem president ever did. 1

Now you're making up bullshit. Please buttress your arguments with facts. The DNC has been a FAR better defender of First Amendment rights than Trump, or any GOP president, ever.

He asked when it was that the DNC criticized christianity. Give us an answer. You've repeated that bullshit like 204 times now, and provided ZERO examples of the "DNC" criticizing Christianity. Also, there's very little that's less moral than the racist accusation that Obama is a Muslim. If Trump were 1% of the practicing Christian that Obama is, this entire presidency would be 1,000% better. And that's coming from an atheist.

We shouldn't have to ask at all. This board is not for proselytizing. Keep that bullshit, misogynist, iron-age horseshit to yourself.

You should be blaming Obama himself for that slip of tongue saying he is a Muslim. Gotta be careful what you say because anything you say can be used against your even while in the courtroom right?

He should be called a Muslim for the rest of his life because of a slip of the tongue? Why's that? Would you say GW Bush is a jew for life if he "had a slip of the tongue" and said he got a cool pea-shooter for Hanukkah? I honestly cannot begin to fathom how fucking retarded our federal government must be for hiring you.
