Not sure about Grand Canyon U. MWC's media rights deal expires after the 2019-20 school year. They were the first to launch their own conference network which the Pac-12 followed later on. I imagine Pac-12 fans will be wondering what kind of deal the MWC will be. Both conferences have issues with late game start times determined by the networks. Quack 12
That second list is hilarious. Oxford is a "metro"?????? It has 10,000 fewer people than Pullman. Laramie? Ames? I don't believe that Stanford number in the first list. Maybe it's based on ticket sales, as opposed to actual butts in seats.

Well, the largest metro area in the conference, by far, has miniscule turnout as compared to even its stadium capacity. The second and third largest don't fare much better (Phoenix and Bay Area). The outliers from my theory are Corvallis (lousy %) and Seattle (high %). And OSU is only that way because they suck balls right now. Throw those out and, even with raw numbers, I think I'm close. Anyone who believes this has never seen a Stanford home game on TV or has never been to a Stanford home game in person. They would be lucky to hit 70% attendance. It' a great road trip for anyone looking to go to a road game in a nice area to.visit, and who wants to be able.to buy a ticket for pretty cheap. KUGRDON
I was talking Cal. I agree that California, indeed the West Coast, is less than enthusiastic about college sports as measured by SEC standards, but Cal’s attendance in light of potential audience is an outlier. Deeper problems than general California apathy.
