Not only is the World Health Organization finding that CBD (the non-psycho-active element of marijuana) isn't harmful or addictive for animals or humans, but it has applications for treating alzheimer's, parkinson's, cancer, psychosis, and other physical problems.

And yet, our AG and federal government, in their infinite fucking wisdom, still label CBD as a schedule 1 controlled substance, on par with heroin and worse than meth or cocaine.

It's hard to overstate just how stupid that is.  And that's because in addition to being stupid, it is criminal in itself to be denying humanity a medicine that has immense untapped potential for treating countless suffering people.

Scientific journal article on epilepsy finds that CBD reduces incidents of seizures in children.  There had been plenty of anecdotal evidence of this.

A bipartisan bill to end federal prohibition was introduced recently.  Isn't the first, and unfortunately probably won't be the last.  Use this NORML article to send a letter to your congressman urging an end to federal prohibition.  It's ridiculous we're still in this place with weed.

Correction, you smoked dirt and leaves before I was born.  It's a whole new ballgame out there.

And it's not a religion to me, but it's close.  The politics of marijuana should be of concern to EVERYONE, since an entire for-profit prison industry is the singular reason marijuana is illegal.  It's a criminal justice/civil rights issue.  Both of which I consider more important than any religion, and you should, too.
