From GROK this morning which is Day 3, upon asking the status of the cease fire in Ukraine/Ru:

As of today, March 13, 2025, the status of a ceasefire in Ukraine remains uncertain and hinges on Russia’s response to a proposal put forward by the United States and Ukraine. Following talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 11, 2025, Ukraine agreed to a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire along the entire front line of its conflict with Russia. This interim ceasefire, which could be extended by mutual agreement, was outlined in a joint U.S.-Ukraine statement and is intended as a step toward broader peace negotiations. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his administration have expressed readiness to implement this ceasefire immediately if Russia agrees, with the U.S. resuming military aid and intelligence sharing to support Kyiv in the meantime.

However, Russia has not yet committed to the proposal. The Kremlin, through spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, indicated on March 12, 2025, that it is awaiting detailed information from the U.S. before taking a position, emphasizing a cautious approach. Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to the Kursk region on the same day, reiterated his goal of pushing Ukrainian forces out of Russian territory, suggesting a focus on military objectives rather than an immediate ceasefire. Russia’s history of violating past ceasefires, such as those under the Minsk agreements, adds skepticism about its willingness to honor this proposal without significant concessions, which it has not publicly offered.

The ceasefire’s fate thus rests on Moscow’s decision, expected to be clarified soon as U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, have indicated they will directly present the plan to Russia. If accepted, it would mark the first formal pause in fighting since Russia’s full-scale invasion began over three years ago. If rejected, the conflict is likely to persist, with Ukraine bolstered by renewed U.S. support but facing ongoing Russian pressure on the battlefield.

That's what I figured.

Ushakov, who has served alongside Putin in the Kremlin since 2012, stopped short of rejecting the U.S. proposal outright, however, saying the president would likely speak to the media later on Thursday and outline Russia's position in more detail.

I remain very skeptical this happens.

I give it zero potatoes out of 10 potatoes.

One bit of seemingly unreported news.

This could be good pressure on RU. There are also runways to get around. TBD.

Trump has most excellent relationship with Putin though. I am sure it won't come to that.

From the onset of the 2022 full scale invasion on the former board, I haven't posted a whole lot on the war topics for a number of reasons.  One being, that the unpredictable and unforeseen seem inevitable.  I'm going to stick to observation as much as possible.  Plenty of war and geopolitical analysis out there.
