Wouldn’t surprise me if Elon already has a plan for planet cooling space mirror delivery. Low low cost “efficient” government contract.

Who needs to colonize mars when you could be the worlds first trillionaire?

If people believe that the human race, in their historical daily living activities, can change the climate to the point that it threatens civilization then 1.) they are delusional and 2.) don't understand the current state of "climate science" - particularly what has a occurred over the past several years that almost completely negates any human impact on climate over the past century.

If people paid close attention to what is going on they'd know that what has occurred over the past few years naturally (with no help or involvement from man) has expanded the total amount of global GHG's by an astounding 10%.  To contextualize that, total anthropogenic sources of GHG's account for roughly 3% of total GHG's and many in the world are apoplectic that the 3% is growing towards 4%.  It's total madness.

Cooling our planet is super easy technologically.  It's basically "Go make da boom boom or put the shiny high high:"

That's why I really do not buy into the hysteria.  If we wanted to cool our planet 2 degree and it was life or death if we did not...we could cool it tomorrow.  And if it comes down to 70% of the world population being impacted by sea level rise...uh yeah...we make da boom boom or the shiny shiny happen

The EPA under Biden wasnt focused on clean water or air pollution.

Shit, the worst air pollution Ive ever experienced was because of the wildfires caused by you green nuts

This current round of kicking and screaming isnt Trump specific, you big government fans would he hollering over any republican dialing back the green new deal jive

So, instead of fixing the problem, let's make it worse.

Orange clowns..every last one of you

The bureacrats at EPA have been allowed by congress to make up laws. It's messed up and 90% of their job can be taken over by the states.  Almost all states already do air water and land regulation. It should go away.

I honestly don't care so much about the Climate Change stuff. I do care about air quality and its effects on health.

My bottom line is that the EPA should lower human caused pollution and enforce standards and laws that do so. These regulations that are being removed are fully in line with that and this administration is gutting the entire purpose of the EPA, particularly with the revised air quality standards. I don't want our city's looking like China's or Russia's.

We also need a new national program to replace all fossil fuel generation with nuclear and renewables by X years.

But this is just a handout to big coal. The good news is the market is probably past coal fired power plants.

Breathable air that doesn't contain harmful particulates or chemicals which exacerbate respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD. Stagnant air and more days with inversions. Water that doesn't make you sick. Oceans that don't frequently bloom poisonous red algae.

Acidified oceans. Bleached corals. Accelerated rates of extinction and/or loss of biodiversity. Excessive deforestation and massive reduction in what amounts to the "lungs" of the planet. Accelerated rates in the loss of ice. The release of gases from newly exposed land.

ALL OF THESE THINGS HAVE ACCELERATED DUE TO HUMAN ACTIVITY. The RATES at which they are accelerating are the problem. Let me say that again, THE RATES ARE THE PROBLEM. Systems in the past have handled these issues without calamitous results when there has been TIME to adapt. The RATES we see now provide no TIME to ADAPT. This throws the CLIMATE out of BALANCE to the point it CHANGES RAPIDLY.  (relatively speaking)

Take a good look at what INDIA is facing with their air quality because that's where these clowns are going to drive us. Where it hurts to breath. Anyone out west who's been down wind during fire season with the smoke has gotten a preview. Water quality too.

Climate change real. It's accelerating. We're blowing right by goals and are already at tipping points. Mans activities have accelerated what was a normal cycle well past normal. Anyone who denies that is willfully ignorant and deluded. The environment has been sending out clear and undeniable signs of significant distress across multiple systems.

Let's reopen all the coal plants !

Didn't the energy industry move away from coal because of the cost ?

Now, Donnie Darko wants to drive up the price of energy on top of making air quality worse.

Trumpism for the win.

Again !

Coal dams collapsing, coal.mines collapsing, acid rain making a comeback, rivers catching on fire, worse air quality.

What could possibly go wrong ?

Well, the mayor of Cleveland could set his hair on fire again. That would be a good for a laugh.

Why do we need another layer of bureaucracy and laws . Have the states take care of their own business? Just because the epa gets doged doesn't mean our environment will be dirtier.

lol all cross state line agreements are moderated by or oked by the feds, constitutionally

the epa already "moderates if necessary" that is a big part of what this is eliminating lol

Most state environmental protection laws, when they exist, are weaker than those of the federal government. In instances where state regulations do meet federal standards, the feds usually delegate enforcement to the state. Left to most of the states our environment would get much dirtier.
