Greenland just elected a pro American prime minister. A deal was struck a week ago to put the Panama Canal back in American hands. 23 billion dollar deal according to AP.

It appears that a cease fire in Ukraine will take effect soon. Peace has rolled out across the Middle East.

He is making gains on George Washington as the greatest President ever.

Trump is delivering on his bold promises. Yet no acknowledgment from the left on his accomplishments.

We all know damn well things would be a mess if Harris was the President. It’s time for you nut jobs to at least acknowledge what he is doing well. Any liberal who can’t admit Trump has done some good things is completely blind and brainwashed.

The left has to be just shock. Things they said was absurd a month ago is now beginning to happen.

This is certain no President has ever delivered on their promises like Trump has. Even you looneys would have to admit that.

I don’t want the U.S. to do colonialism, so I do not support the annexation of Greenland. I also don’t support the U.S. pressuring Panama into ceding any control of the Panama Canal to the U.S. If those things happen I will “acknowledge” that I don’t like them.

I agree with the Colonialism aspect as something to be avoided, make an economic deal with Greenland so both sides benefit.

Panama is a bit more tricky, my understanding of the efforts there was due to a massive increase in Chinese influence over the Canal. I personally am okay with keeping it in the USAs sphere of influence vs a world rival.

Greenland officially wants separate from Denmark and doesn’t want to be independent.

Welcome to USA Greenlanders

If true then that's not Colonialism IMO, as long as the people get to decide.

This disinformation being spewed on this forum is very strong.

"The result should send a clear message to Trump that Greenland is not for sale, Demokraatit leader Jens-Friederik Nielsen told Sky News.

“We don’t want to be Americans. No, we don’t want to be Danes. We want to be Greenlanders. And we want our own independence in the future. And we want to build our own country by ourselves, not with his hope,” he said.

So it wouldn’t appear his statement is true.

This is good news for Trump. These guys are asking for money and they want away from Denmark. We will see

Whether anything about this is “good news for Trump” is immaterial to me. This is an issue for Greenlanders. If that’s what they want, great.

This election certainly opens up the possibility of Trump expansion plan. Which I believe will happen rapidly.

Trump will be twisting all kinds of arms including the threat of pulling out of NATO. This is in my opinion a done deal and I will be telling you I told you so.

This stuff is in Trumps wheelhouse he will get this done.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/greenland-residents-reject-trump-idea-to-be-part-of-us-poll-shows/

Copenhagen — The vast majority of Greenland residents do not want their island to become part of the United States, as envisaged by President Trump, according to a poll published Wednesday. Mr. Trump, who returned to the White House in late January, has signaled that he wants the Arctic island — which is believed to hold large untapped mineral and oil reserves — to become part of the United States and has suggested the possible use of force or tariffs to annex the autonomous Danish territory.

I think it is good that Greenland is talking Independence. That has nothing to do with the US unless it facilitates cooperative treaties, trade, etc. They want to be self-reliant. The US should always support that.

I mean it is basically arctic Oklahoma without an economy. It is almost entirely full of native cultures, which really had little to nothing to do with Denmark and have even less to do with the US. If we were to go in militarily, it would be Cortez all over again, but the juice isn;t worth the squeeze.

Now if we can set up favorable treaties (ala the Ukraine minerals deal) and continue military aid (bases) treaties, it is definitely a win. But they probably aren't gonna let us just build another Anchorage and push out their people/culture.

Expansionism is a huge warning sign of a failing State.

Instead of solving our problems, let's grow our empire to cover up the real issues. Better to cheer on the phyrric W then face reality.
