I absolutely detest Nacho Duce. I believe he’s taking us down a road that leads to a banana republic. But can anyone point out an example where a party ever benefited by causing a shutdown?

How are Dems causing it.  Republicans have the majority in the House and the ability to change the rules in the Senate.

Dems have zero power.

Saying Democrats caused the shutdown is kind of saying like Ukraine caused Russia to invade them.  I guess some may argue it is easier to just let Trump grab you by the pussy and not scream about it, though!

This

It's a bitch move by Johnson trying to jam up the Senate Dems. GOP has all 3 branches. They own whatever happens. They didn't have to wait til the last minute. They didn't have to run something in they knew would have no support.

Schumer needs to stop being an angsty bitch and let them hang.

The electorate spoke. They put up this bench with GOP control.

Dem Senators please note what's been going on in Republican town halls.

You can count on the same thing if you support this CR or even the two package bill in the Senate. We're watching and expecting you to not give your votes without significant concessions. A 1.5% margin in the popular vote is the weakest margin in 20;years

Dem Senators should just taunt their GOP peers and say if you want to pass it then reform the filibuster and pass it.   Seems simple.

I'm always in favor of shutting down the government. I was for it when Biden was in office and I'm for it now when Trump's in office.

The less government works the less harm it can do. Shut it down to its most basic functions permanently.

What's mysterious for me is how those who were opposed to shutting the government then are now for it. Those who were for it are now opposed?

Maybe it's not that mysterious. *cough* teamsnshit *cough*

You need a big government to actually defend those things, unless you have an extremely narrow ass definition of what liberty means.

The GOP can avoid a shutdown if they want without a single Democratic vote; they are just going to choose not to do that.
