But I seem to think that having every public employee filling out a daily report on their activities might result in....wait for it....more government bloat and waste on things that don't need to be done. How much time do you think it takes to create a summary of what you did during the week . 5 minutes on a Friday before you go home tops 1 Quote

bornontheblue Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 When I first started out as a staff accountant we had to email the partners during busy season what we got done the day before , what we still had on our work list, and what we planned on working during the current day including estimated time on each task. Looks like their powers are limited, although the liability is definitely not great. Quote

It's not really well defined what this lunatic will be able to get away with in Season 2 yet. 2 Quote

Every worker doesn't need to fill out a report. Not a hard concept to understand So you're opposed ro government workers being held accountable, got it. Quote

I mean they got both house and senate and the SC. Just pass the law. You see Donald Trump and Elon Musk have NO IDEA of the details of what the various branches or agencies of government actually do. This is the same stupid playbook that Elon Musk unsuccessfully ran at Twitter with zero experience or knowledge of running a social media company. Donald Trump loves it because he is a child of the 1980s and so he and Musk are basically running the old "corporate raider" playbook from the 1980s. Basically, that is when a bunch of rich guys who have no idea what they are doing take over an organization. Next they massively cut costs for short term gain (like huge tax cuts). They pile debt on the company, take out the money backing the pensions funds, fire all the best employees to get a short-term gain. Once they have picked every last piece of meat off the carcass, they let the weak entity struggle on life support until it goes bankrupt AFTER they have taken every last short-term profit. They leave the employees, future leaders, and customers holding the bag for their failure. This maneuver they are pulling is not about making the government better and more accountable, it is to put it on life support. Passing laws requires you to KNOW something about the actual running of the organization. They could easily pass a law slowly drawing down our forces in Europe for massive savings. They could easily pass Joe Biden's border bill so they wouldn't be like a fish flopping on the deck for immigration. But it is easier for Donald Trump to just have his secretary write up a short order for him to sign. He doesn't read or like details nor does he have any interest in actually passing any laws because he wants to be a dictator. Quote
