Democrats MUST not get in the way of the Republican shutdown coming in March.  Republicans have the majority in Congress and they MUST produce every vote.

If they want Democratic votes they should only be given in exchange for a giant pound of flesh.  Namely, layoffs or cuts of federal dollars going to USAID, Education, Consumer protection will immediately trigger 10x cuts in headcount and budget to Big Ag, ICE, Defense, and Space X. 

Make these clowns govern...and if there is a shutdown...at least it will be a small 'D' democratic one!

Maybe we can do a 1 month extension like the Canada tariffs.  We can re-evaluate each month before passing other funding to see if Trump is following the law and the constitution. Republicans just shouldn't ask for Democratic votes.  We have to get tough or we are not going to have a country anymore!

Our govt has been destroying itself for years...ignoring public congressman RFIs and doing stupid shit.  The Dem party is lost and has no solutions.

Finally the public is figuring out they can't depend on corporate media for the truth and hopefully elected officials and govt will be held accountable.

These are pretty exciting times. Yes we will see.

Trump has to spend all of the dollars appropriated by congress.  The left is in full meltdown over someone making the attempt to spend the dollars more efficiently.  The left put up very little fight over Trump ripping out DEI, cracking down on immigration, not letting boys compete with girls, etc.  But wow!  Touch the dollars and it is a full psychotic break.  Shows you what they really care about.

A shutdown is the PERFECT opportunity for CONGRESS to cut funding LEGALLY to executive departments.   Democrats should insist that each department be funded separately in a separate bill that goes through committee.  No omnibus deals done by the leadership only!

I really don't think they can get any sort of spending bill through the house with GOP votes only. The moderate state GOP and the wing nut freedom caucus are diametrically opposed.

Dems need to hold firm. It will mean a shutdown but it's the only way not to give away the store. I just hope they have the backbone to make this stand.

I think Trump is the only one who could get things turned around. Probably a majority of what he does will need to corrected or reinstated. But the growing pains will be worth it in the end.
