Bison Posted February 3 Posted February 3 This trade was indeed stunning and it'll be fun to follow the Lakers given that LeBron is staying with the Lakers. Quote

Definitely going to be interesting to watch, as both players want to have the ball in their hands. But they said the same with Kyrie Irving and that worked well.  Quote

There is speculation that LeBron and his kid will be going to Golden State for Wiggins and a couple less known players. If that should happen, I'll start rooting for the Lakers again. Quote

Better place to live and Luka is the kind of dude who can take over games and let LeBron conserve energy for defense/the playoffs. As good as Davis is his passivity on offense at time has been painful to watch. If the Nic Claxton to LA rumors end up being true and Luka/LeBron are healthy the Lakers are gonna be terrifying in the playoffs. Quote

With Luka's huge contract coming up, I now understand why Dallas made this move and I'm starting to think they got the better deal. 1 Quote
SleepingGiantFan Posted February 4 Posted February 4 L.A. is a better place to live than San Francisco or the environs south of there or Marin County to the north? As for LeBron, he's ultimately been as annoying as Kobe proved to be. Both were/are undoubtedly great players but also quite detrimental to the franchise by dictating who should must be on the roster and the result has been an absence of the cohesiveness necessary to win championships which, for the Lakers, is what it is all about. Oh and for the Lakers, money is no object whatsoever. 1 Quote

If Davis hadn't gotten hurt against Phoenix the following year the Lakers would have beat the Suns and likely repeated after crushing a weak West and beating the Bucks. I'm curious what roster moves you think the the Lakers could have made had LeBron not decided he wanted to live in LA that could have netted them more success? Quote
SleepingGiantFan Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I haven't followed NBA basketball sufficiently to answer your question. As for the cost of living in SF versus L.A., the cost of living in the L.A. metro area is 13% less: https://www.nerdwallet.com/cost-of-living-calculator/compare/san-francisco-ca-vs-los-angeles-long-beach-ca However, there's an old saying that you get what you pay for. 1 Quote

But will admit if I was LeBron I see the appeal of LA. 1 Quote
renoskier Posted February 6 Posted February 6 The Martin twins both found new homes this week. They both go from also rans to probable playoff teams. Caleb from the 76ers to the Mavericks for Quentin Grimes and a 2nd round pick. and today, Cody from the Hornets to the Suns for Josef Nurkic and a 2nd round pick. Â Â Â 1 Quote
