This will mark the 100th all-time meeting between UNLV and UNR in men’s basketball

UNLV leads the all-time series 64-35

UNLV is 29-21 all time at UNR

UNLV lost eight straight to UNR, then won four in a row before being swept last season

UNLV had won two straight in Reno prior to last year’s loss 

UNLV is 4-2 all-time against UNR with Kevin Kruger as head coach

The Wolf Pack enter Saturday’s game on a three-game losing streak with losses at Utah State (90-69), vs San Diego State (69-50) and at Boise State (66-56) Prior to that, UNR won three in a row: at Fresno State in overtime (77-66), vs Air Force (68-62) and vs San Jose State (75-64)

The Wolf Pack are 8-4 at home this season

UNR is led in scoring and rebounding by Nick Davidson (15.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg) Kobie Sanders is second on in scoring (14.2 ppg) and leads in assists (4.2 apg)

The Wolf Pack are second in the MW and 40th in the country in 3-point percentage (.374)

Head coach Steve Alford is in his sixth year at the school with a record of 107-69 (.608) and is in his 34th season overall as a Division I head coach with a career mark of 694-367 (.654)

UNLV has three players averaging double figures in scoring, led by Dedan Thomas Jr’s 16.2 points per game (6th in MW)

UNLV is 11-2 when leading at the half this season

Both teams have 11-10 overall records this season - UNLV is 5-5 & UNR is 3-7 in MWC games 

Both teams come into this game with 3 game losing streaks

Haha I think that's where both teams are at. 

An anti-climactic matchup considering it's the 100th meeting between us. Haven't watched enough of UNLV to know what to expect, but we're playing horrible right now.

Ehh, I think the season's over for both of us. UNLV will have a new coach next year, and we'll have a completely new team.

Yes, I wish this could be a bigger deal for the 100th meeting. Are you guys doing anything to commemorate it? Just curious.

I haven't heard of anything, but they should. It was also our 50th matchup in football this year.

With a NET hovering around 100, we’d actually be playing a 3 or 4 seed. And it wouldn’t be pretty.
