Happens dam near every game at Boise. I am thinking Davidson or Sanders as we have no one to match up with these 2. If we double it will be Dusell that lights us up from 3. Hope I am wrong but our defense has been really bad. You're probably right, as there seems to be a common denominator when a MW team has their worst shooting % game. 😁 This was prior to last night's game.... (though I will admit, Nevada had numerous wide-open shots that clanked as well) In its 17 Division I games, San Diego State has held eight opponents to their worst shooting game of the season and three had their 2nd worst field goal percentage games. San Diego State is No. 1 in the Mountain West and No. 4 in the nation in field goal percentage defense at 36.7 percent, and is one of two programs in the nation, also Tennessee, that is limiting opponents to a combined maximum of 36.7 percent from the floor and 28.7 percent from beyond the arc. NMBob Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Alford gotta get his stuff together. Surprising to see dismal results. Maybe Craig Neal part of the problem. When he was left in charge at NM, he brought in lots of players and somehow the actually ability to shoot was not recruited. 3 guys on entire team who could shoot, and 8 or so who absolutely could not. And getting a team to play defense?...lol Quote

It seems they’ve gotten away from some basics like feeding the low block from the wing. Seems like they focus more on high ball screens to get Cardenas in the paint. And while Cardenas is pretty effective running pick and rolls with Degenhart, I don’t think he’s as good at spraying the ball to the other players in their spots. Quote
