UNLV2001 Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Well - 2 point loss Could go over the 40 minutes & point to many specific moments where UNLV bungled & lost this one 1 Quote
Soupslam Posted January 22 Posted January 22 OMG what a finish. Where was that effort for 39 minutes? 4 1 Quote
B_Lootz Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Of course, DJ. Add this one to the handful of other final shots he’s missed. 1 Quote
Lobonado Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Wow, that was bad, UNLV. Jekyl and Hyde team, but will be motivated to take us down on Saturday. 1 Quote

In theory, that could be the case..........Or the Lobos will blow UNLV out of the T&M if their mental state is anything like this game 1 Quote

Lobonado Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Good job Wyoming! Sundance is a really good coach. Crazy to think Obi Agbim was playing DII last year. 4 Quote

UNLV has not gotten a rebound in over five minutes. Let that sink in. UNLV went from the 8:47 mark to 1:38 mark of the second half without recording a single board. During that time Wyoming outrebounded UNLV 10-0, five offensive boards, and outscored the rebels 19-10 to push the lead to 11 before the furious comeback by the rebels in the final min. 1 Quote
Swoll Cracker Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Agbim is a really good player but Wyoming got an incredible game from Jordan Nesbitt with 13, 12, and 6. I really cant believe UNLV conjured up a ay to lose that game but then again its not like they haven’t done it before. 2 Quote

If you’ve actually watched any of UNLV bball during the KK tenure you know that we were absolutely capable of blowing games like this, and it’s happened time and time again. His teams have always lacked consistency. While they might have more talent than some, his squads have always had a tendency to come out flat and uninspired and, ultimately, lose to inferior opponents. How is it that we look so collectively lost out on the court for giant stretches of a game??? Infuriating. Credit to Wyoming, though. It was 41-39 with 9 min left and they proceeded to go on a 19-10 run over them next 7 min, outrebounding UNLV 10-0 in the process, and they won the game right there and even completely blowing it in the final minute didn’t cost them the game. 1 Quote
