yeah, I'm okay with this one...

most of them are sitting unused in jars/piggy banks anyway

When I was a kid my mom and dad always threw their silver in a jar when they got home from work. They used that for gas on vacations.

President Trump signed a new EO freezing any enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act until the AG issues new guidelines.

The FCPA prohibits bribery of foreign officials. In the White House statement it says "U.S. companies are harmed by FCPA overenforcement because they are prohibited from engaging in practices common among international competitors, creating an uneven playing field".

At the same time, Trump said he will issue a pardon to former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich for his prior corruption charges.

My opinion is we are seeing bribery and corruption now being openly considered SOP and legit. Instead of setting a higher standard for the world, we are saying everyone does it so we should too.

I remember my father's lecture to me about following along with others and it is sad for me to see the US becoming a follower.

Well of course he did. And I’m sure it has nothing to do with Blago being on The Apprentice once. Sure there was some serious arse kissing going on.

I'd actually be fine with that too.

Hey remember a few years ago when they were really pushing silver dollars?  I think it was stamp machines or something that would always kick out $1 coins.  That seems to have went away.

I’ve long thought we should get rid of pennies. And given that cost info for nickels, I say get rid of them too. I’ve never understood the resistance to dollar coins. There would be tremendous savings if we emulated the Brits. One pond coin, two pound coin, and then a five pound note.

They have more than that.

Current British coins

  • 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2: These are the current British coins in circulation.
  • £5, £10, £20, £50: These are the denominations of British banknotes.

Yea I was mainly referring to the notes. They should get of the smaller coins too.

BREAKING: In response to our motion, the court has required CDC, FDA, and HHS to immediately restore critical health info and data that the Trump administration ordered the agencies to remove.

This is a huge win for doctors, researchers, and patients.

Science and medicine folks have been working privately to archive data, but this is good news..  No good reason for a mass scrub.  Gone first half of day so have not heard where this has gone since the ruling.

You're the biggest troll on the board. But he likes it because you are on the right team.
