What is the ratio of deportations vs new blood crossing in? Inconvenient truth, immigrant labor offers companies better profit margins and happy shareholders allowing lower prices for consumers across the board. Which allows even more money for said shareholders. IF you increased the deportations AND cut the new blood coming in, my guess is, given long enough, the labor need hiring these “hard working” Americans in their zone, we’d see losses at the shareholder/business position translating to a sharp increase to the consumers. Bottom line, really rich people don’t like getting pinched. Realistically none of us do at any income level. Meh, nevermind. None of this shit really matters. Just keep existing. What is this? 1 Quote

They aren't the reason these people can't say no to drugs. They aren't the reason housing is expensive. They aren't the reason for inflation. Our crime rates are at historical lows and immigrants commit far fewer crimes than native born people. But we have a highly stupid, conspiracy believing, superstitious and racist class of people in this country. If you give them a black or brown man to focus their hate on, they will let the billionaire class run a train on them and smile all the way as they get violated. 2 Quote
AztecAlien Posted January 21 Posted January 21 It's strange that prices keep going up, and yet companies are still using the same labor. 🤔 1 1 Quote
The Barber Posted January 21 Posted January 21 I wouldn't be surprised if Trump administration focuses on areas that apparently hate Illegal Immigrants, and ignores farming communities in California. NY Democratic Mayor apparently wants the immigrants deported, and seems to be buddies with Trump now. Chicago seems to be overburdened with immigrants and wants them gone. Neither is a farming area, that relies on immigrants for food production and harvesting. Quote

If he wants to deport a lot of people he would invade all the hotels in Florida and all the meat packing facilities. That won't happen. Because it is all just a political statement all the time. His rich buddies would be pissed if he actually raided their businesses. Quote

Calling them stupid and racist won't win elections, though. The Democrats tried that and the rust belt didn't like it, and voted for Trump. The rust belt seems angry and depressed because they don't have any jobs in some areas, particularly in smaller towns. Need to figure a way to get them healthy (lose weight), get them jobs and off welfare (people feel happier when productive and have more money). Not sure about the answer. Former Democrat RFK Jr says its all about too much hydrogenated seed oils, and wants them on a rice and beans diet, like they eat in South America. 1 1 Quote

He will ignore the areas that need meat packing, fruit picking, etc, and will coordinate efforts with the Mayor of New York, probably first. NY Mayor wants the immigrants gone -- he is maybe racist toward Latinos. Quote
The Barber Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Very odd bedfellows. Democratic NY Mayor even paid a visit to Trump in Florida. He has been very vocal about stopping migrants. Quote

I take your previous post as trying to baffle us with bullshit. Maybe if you used plain English and quit trying to orate like an elitist Harvard English professor, to try and sound like you’re more intelligent than us simple people, we could understand what you’re trying to say. 1 1 Quote

My question was during that time, was the influx of immigrants coming in greater than who was getting kicked out? I think over time if there was a hard stop on illegal immigration (relying on the current legal pathway) we’d see a more dramatic effect on keeping those jobs filled. My suspicion is that’s when it will hurt. Quote

It’s a common tactic deployed by posters who actually can’t mount a credible counterargument. Can’t argue the facts: claim your opponent uses too many big, empty words to bamboozle us normal folks. @AlpineSummer got a lot of that stupidity lobbed his way. Soup has always been way out of his depth on this side of the board. I’m surprised to see him posting over here again; I’m sure he’s feeling emboldened by the reinstallation of the Grifter-in-Chief. It’s pretty much a given that we’ll see a lot more of the stupid than usual (a high bar) on this side of the board for the next few years. 2 Quote

AlpineSummer posted long-drawn-out information that turned out to be incorrect many times. He also was caught multiple times manipulating numbers while trying to pull the wool over people's eyes in order to fit his narrative or arguments. When someone challenged that, he would go to the usual ad-hominem backlash or take his ball and go home for a while. It goes both ways, and that should be pointed out as well. There's a lot of one-sided criticism that take place on this board and should be adressed as well if someone is to be taken seriously. 1 1 Quote
