Please someone get ahold of him and tell him that I would want everyone to see them. It was a great time of life. The address of the house we were renting was 5163 Acuna St. in San Diego. Eddie was good at stage diving because he'd practice jumping off the fence into the pool. Virtually all of the first PJ album lyrics and lead vocal were written by him in the backyard naked on a scaffold we used to jump in the pool. A Nazarene Church was right next door. I'd come home for lunch when I was working at Farmers Insurance (this is where Eddie got into Polaroid Camera because he's use my work camera and used extra work film I had) and he'd play me what he had written so far and I gave him my comments. In 1996, Rolling Stone published a bullshit article about Eddie and it pissed me off. So I decided to write a book to set the record straight. I never completely finished it. I got about 10 chapters done. I couldn't write a book, so I just wrote what happened. Here's my old non-existent website on the waybackmachine with a chapter or two of the book. I still think it's pretty interesting: http://web.archive.org/web/20080617233126/http://www.cathedralstone.net/Pages/PearlJam.htm "The Songwriter" is an interesting chapter linked at the bottom. I texted Toonkee, I haven’t seen him on here for a while. 1 Quote

Nevada Convert Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 This is what I wrote in 1996-97. I was immature and a little bit upset with Eddie because he was getting a swollen ego at the time, so I just made a human "good and bad", but by far mostly good analysis. Today, I wouldn't write about some of the petty things. But this is what an immature kid wrote in 1996-97. The point of the entire book was to counter the 1996 RS article that was claiming that he didn't have it tough growing up, in HS or pursuing fame in Bad Radio and Indian Style. I feel bad about how some of what I wrote wasn't sensitive enough, but I really gave him tons of praise because it was real. Eddie was flawed, but also a real hero. That's what human beings ultimatey are. I considered Eddie to be my brother and still do because our bond was so amazing during those times. He did tell me some deep personal things that I never considered to be put in the book and will take to the grave, today. I never understand tell-all books and selling out loved ones. I really, really, really regret 9B and 9C. Totally ashamed of myself. I only included it because I wanted to show the awesome 9A. 5 Quote
CV147 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 When I was in middle school we had to do a "lip sync" for a drama class and the teacher expressly forbade anyone from doing Pearl Jam's "Jeremy." I did Genesis' "No son of mine." Isn't that ironic? Don't you think? Quote
