OrediggerPoke Posted January 9 Posted January 9 In addition to the shots fired at his former QB, it’s weird for an experienced coach to take a shot at another program like that honestly. I can’t imagine UTEP appreciated that. I will say - his daughter has handled herself very well and has been impressive as a volleyball coach.

To an extent. He could just say Madsen was the clear winner of the QB competition, I like Malachi and we wish him the best. It comes off pretty bad when he basically says - “see Malachi Nelson sucks, it’s proven because he had to go to a terrible program to be able to play.” 1

Is what he said factually incorrect? Has UTEP had a historical tradition being shitty at football? Not meant to be disparaging, just stating a fact.

What kind of a-hole AD does that? That's a three time retired OC… not an AD. He's a grumpy old man, for sure. He was fiery when he was young, now he's cranky. 1

Not trying to go there, just curious. I think Hawaii’s last black QB starter was back in 1984, Raphael Cherry. Nate Sparks was the season opening starter in 97 before eventually losing the job to Bart Hendricks. … and, you absolutely "went there." It's a silly question. Jayson Henderson, Montell Cozart, Taylen Green… what's the point of asking that? 1

As a Raider fan, it reminds me of when Antonio Pierce liked a social media post about Davante Adams being on his way out; just immature as fuck. And yea, some Raider fans did what you are doing and had a response along the lines of “o there there Antonio, it’s ok, Davante started it! Your reaction was understandable”. Except as a coach, no it’s not understandable. It’s immature. I was fully on board with the Pierce hire, but when that happened my first thought was that AP isn’t ready to handle this job. Koetter lashing out like that is just a great example of him not being able to hack it in the modern game, which is why he is retiring. He knows that. Flat out said it. This is the third time he's retired, but he didn't want to come back either time… he was, basically, talked into it on a short term basis. 1

He committed to us because we said we would give him a shot at QB, but Zabransky ended up winning the job. He ended up being better utilized as a WR and had a few years in the NFL with the Chargers. 1
Soupslam Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Malachi has talent. He made some throws in our spring game that Madsen could only dream about. I thought he was impressive. Strong arm, quick release, and accurate. Only downside was his slight build and lack of familiarity with our offense. He was also somewhat introverted. Madsen was Koetters fair haired extroverted kid he had a bromance with. I’m going to go out on a limb and say Nelson will end up with better passing stats and QB rating with UTEP next year than Madsen will with Boise State. Madsen wont have defenses totally committed to stopping Jeanty next year. 1

Anyway, yea, he did flat out say this in the article I cited earlier that born “couldn’t read because ads”. His dislike of the current system is palpable. He is not cut out to coach at the NCAA level anymore, so he retired. 1

Next time post something better besides Spam. He wanted to retire 4 years ago because he had a good career and wanted to enjoy his life in Idaho. He came back as a favor to BSU two times because he likes us, and we needed help. He did it for a salary that was much, much smaller than he could have earned if he really wanted to continue his career. You make it sound like he wanted to restart his career in coaching and then said Uh fuck it I don't like these whiny kids and NIL so I am going to retire again. You probably didn't even know who Dirk Koetter was up until a few months ago , so shut your cake hole. 1

You are an annoying fuck. You never have anything interesting to say . All you ever do is follow me around and counter what I post on even the most mundane topic. That is literally all you do here. Go play tummy sticks with your equally annoying buddy @Spaztecs
