Well I’m not really that embarrassed by it. I appreciate a coach that’s straightforward about it. I don’t blame him for being irritated by people second guessing his decision making after the year we had, and also considering he is the founder of modern day BSU football. He actually did the podcast, and a local radio show and it was quite telling what he had to say if you listen to all of it. I never criticized him or said stupid things about choosing Madsen over Nelson because he is the expert, I am not. We pay him to be the expert and he did a great job. A lot of really hateful and stupid things were said about Madsen, by so called fans who I don’t think have any skin in the game. 1 1

Maybe he’s just not built to coach in this era. As a Raider fan, it reminds me of when Antonio Pierce liked a social media post about Davante Adams being on his way out; just immature as fuck. And yea, some Raider fans did what you are doing and had a response along the lines of “o there there Antonio, it’s ok, Davante started it! Your reaction was understandable”. Except as a coach, no it’s not understandable. It’s immature. I was fully on board with the Pierce hire, but when that happened my first thought was that AP isn’t ready to handle this job. Koetter lashing out like that is just a great example of him not being able to hack it in the modern game, which is why he is retiring. 1

He actually moved back to Boise to Retire 4 years ago and has had to step into the OC role twice as a favor to BSU.
