I saw one of those in Arizona when I was down there for the playoff game. I had to look it up because I had no idea VW was making a small pickup.

Was it on display? They aren’t scheduled to roll off the assembly line until sometime in ‘27.

Did a quick search. VW just started making a small truck named Amarok, but according to what I just read, it’s not for sale in the US. That doesn’t mean somebody didn’t buy one in Europe and have it shipped over, but that seems like a silly way to flush cash down the toilet for a truck that’s the equivalent of a Ford Ranger.

While the Scout brand is owned by VW, it’s only got a couple of concept vehicles out right now, and they won’t be badged as VW’s. I like the look of the concepts—hope the consumer vehicle designs don’t change much.

Not uncommon for lots of companies to do stress testing down here with the hot temps. Saw quite a few Hummer EVs before they became widely available.

But the dry air made @bornontheblue thirsty and he may have had a few too many beers giving him double vision

they fit perfectly 0n a set of railroad tracks.  Let the air out of tires a bit and settle them on the rails and off you go.  Greybull to Basin once lol

They're doing right by the old Scout brand with these designs. I'm very intrigued by the EREV design, which I first saw on the new model of Ramcharger.

Using the Scout name for an EV is criminal.

Yah, plus the Scout was built by International, not a phucking German company.

True…but that is a pretty ride.  You’re welcome to come to my place to “debate” it

It's allright.  It looks like that electric pickup from Rivian.

Which I'll grant, looks a hell of a lot better than the Tesla pickup

They did indeed do right by the old scout with the design. I'm sure they saw the success the Bronco was having with their throwback design and wanted to cash in on the International name in a similar way. I've owned classic Bronco's since I could drive and people have always confused Scout's and Broncos, so I've always liked them. Good looking design.

I'd say the Rivian looks like a Scout. Gotta give the OG it's respect.

I was going to argue this statement, but after looking at old Scout photos, it certainly appears that Rivian took some design cues from Scout. Good thing Rivian developed the R1T and R1S loooong before Scout’s new vehicle designs were introduced.

Never argue my points. They are always valid...you should know this by now.
