In the last two days Vivek has said Americans "venerated mediocrity over excellence." Musk said it was difficult to find super-motivated American engineers. 

Now they are discovering what Hillary learned about MAGA in 2016. MAGA is a populist movement with a chip on its shoulder.

honestly, I'm not sure what you guys, or Elon/Vivek, are specifically talking about.

how do you define/identify this "mediocrity"? 

I have 4 children between the ages 0f 27-17 and they seem just as driven as any of us

So Elon is now quadrupling down and definitely following Hillary's playbook.

In 2016, Hillary said "You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that."

To Elon today that group are now "contemptible fools" who must be kicked out of the GOP.

You are correct, nobody voted directly for Elon in the presidential election. 

That still doesn't change the fact that the comments are very similar (comparable).

If people were upset about the comment when Hillary said it, the same people should be upset when Vivek or Elon said it.  That is all.

Well, given that I am not discussing the reasoning behind the comment or even the comment's validity... additionally, I am definitely not discussing what Hillary or any other prominent democrat would never do, I don't really have a comment on your reply other than...

Don’t most hotel contractors use that visa to recruit foreign workers and steal half their pay?
