but more importantly to the rest of us it solidifies all of our G6 brands as being legit.

We are usually on the same side of a discussion but I'm gonna disagree with you on this one.  Boise being there solidifies Boise being legit... I don't think it does anything for any other G5.

If they do well it's huge for them but not other G5s

Now that I type that I realize that I think we are partially in agreement.  I think if Boise gets blown out it looks bad for G5 schools in general but I still think it builds Boise's brand a bit.

So since you are CSU fan you better be rooting big time for Boise!

What’s good?

Not sure what to do postgame. Any NYE stuff near stadium after the game?

Like the treasure valley, the west side is the less exciting half. Basically, the Fiesta Bowl is being played at the Idaho Center in Nampa LOL.

Not really my vibe, but there is the Westgate district just north of the stadium, which I'm sure will have plenty of stuff going on both pre- and post-game. Fat Tuesday, Dave and Busters, etc.

Let me know where you're staying and I can see if I recommend any restaurants or watering holes nearby. Out west around the stadium, Eric's Family BBQ is really good, and Asadero Pitic is a good lunch spot for tacos.

And I'm sure @tailingpermit is too shy to ask, so I'll just let him know now the best Chili's is the one in Peoria across from the Arrowhead Mall

I’m staying near the airport so i don’t miss my flight out early on 1/1.

Running low on vacation time so have to make it a quick trip.

Depending on which side of the airport, Olive+Vine is a good chill spot with good food.

Be honest. You're staying near the airport so you can make a quick trip to Jiggles before you leave. 😆

Gotcha. Assume you're in the cluster of hotels on 44th Street. Not too much within walking distance, but the Dirty Drummer is a really good dive bar a few blocks north.

If you find time to head downtown, Arizona Wilderness is a really nice beer garden. I ran into Jon Rahm there once LOL.

Arrogant Butcher is a nice restaurant as well. Across the street from the arena and Dbacks stadium.

If you're staying where I think you are, you can take the light rail a few stops into downtown to not have to worry about parking. Or if you're into tech, taking a Waymo (driverless taxi) is pretty fun to do at least once.

Just what the hell is a "Nittany? Lion anyways?

Boise State 28-Penn State 17

The name is derived from Mount Nittany which is a local landmark in that part of Pennsylvania. And a species of mountain lion once roamed the area. You're still in the MW, so I hope the Donks wins. But once you leave for the Pac#? you're dead to me. 😁

There’s only one Michelin rated Chilis in the country…

According to this guy, Boise State's Defense is ridiculous and should be a piece of cake for awesome Penn State. This will be fun to watch.

He also thinks UNLVs quarterback is the worst ever. Good breakdown. He has a point about safety tackling, particularly #0 Benefield, but he also misidentified Oladipo as a linebacker, so I guess good job #23.

Entertaining but uninformed.

The craziest thing is that Boise is a 10.5 point dog. I have to believe that there's a whole lot of people who don't watch games making bets and setting these lines.

Be prepared for a long and boring drive. We had to stop and spend the night in Vegas when moving down here... Kids were getting stir crazy in the back seat.

It's the complete opposite side of the valley as the stadium, but WeKoPa is pretty awesome. They have 2 courses, believe there's a discounted package price if you want to do 2 rounds.

It will be nice to have some 70 degree weather and sunshine
