InnZoneU Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Fox has been reporting that Harry Truman tried to buy Greenland in 1867. For the board MAGAs, that is about 80 years before he was POTUS. This is why America is filled with stupid people.

Some big Trump fans in the 10's of people who greeted these pillars of society. I am especially impressed with the great care they take with their MAGA hats. They all look brand new, almost like they just came off the plane.

This is fake news. Greenland = Denmark. Denmark and every other Scandinavian country have it all figured out. Human suffering like homelessness is a thing of the past there. 1
GregoryPierreTolkien Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Honestly, Trump’s interest in Greenland makes perfect sense if you actually think about it. Greenland is sitting on a goldmine of natural resources and has massive strategic military value. It’s a critical spot for national security, especially with China and Russia getting more aggressive. Owning Greenland would give the U.S. a huge advantage in the Arctic, both militarily and economically. Of course, the media and the left twist this into some kind of joke, but Trump’s thinking long-term. Denmark can’t even afford to invest in Greenland, and the island depends heavily on subsidies. Trump’s approach is about securing America’s future and making strategic moves that benefit us in the long run. But of course, the globalists and America-last politicians can’t stand the idea of the U.S. growing stronger. Typical. 3 1 1
FresnoFacts Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Cuba should be on Trump's shopping list of countries. A purchase/takeover of Cuba improves US national security. It eliminates a nearby base of operations for our enemies (such as happened in the 1960s). Control of the shipping lanes to/from ports on the Gulf of Mexico, correction America, is also secured. It has natural resources we could use. For example, Cuba has one of the largest known reserves of nickel in the world, larger than the current US known reserves. Havana and Cuba were a very popular tourism area for Americans pre-Castro. Under the US it could return to that status. Average Cubans would probably welcome being part of the US. Plus Cuban expatriates would be ecstatic. Cuba as State #53 after Canada and Greenland? Heck it might be better to make it state #51 before either of those two.

Are they willing to give back all the assets they nationalized (stole) during their communist revolution? If so, then I'm sure we can just end the embargo.

No country has some inherent right to trade with the U.S./investment from the U.S., and America's government is well within its rights to seek compensation for stolen assets. It's one of the few things our government should be doing: protecting a citizen's life, liberty and property. Cuba gives the companies back their shit and we'll let bygones be bygones.

Yea that’s just a feckless way of saying you don’t want the embargo to be lifted. A stance of “give us money and then we’ll talk” is unreasonable.
FresnoFacts Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien wrote an opinion piece opposing Trump's talk of Canada joining the US. The 91 year old former Canadian leader also had a bit of personal advice for Trump: "To Donald Trump, from one old guy to another, give your head a shake!"
