Yes I agree   it is nice that those godless commies did a 180 and "found jesus" and now lecture us on family values.

MAGA also did a 180 on all their prior "sincerely held beliefs" and found "orange Jesus."

So yes,  Russians and MAGA are highly aligned with their flexible values.

Traditional family values are what built strong societies for centuries, and abandoning them has led to so much of the mess we see today. MAGA absolutely leans more toward those Eastern European principles of faith, family, and a sense of duty to the next generation

Perhaps you are joking. The birth rates in Eastern Europe are lower than that of the US and they are much less committed to religion.

Maybe, just maybe, women and their men want fewer kids. It ain't cheap to birth a kid, let alone raise one.

Modern history shows the more educated and well off a society is, the birth rates drop. Why ? Access to birth control.

Your celebration of family values is really forced birthing. Denying access to abortion, sex ed, and birth control is a component of authoritarianism. Forcing women to bleed out in Hospital parking lots, making it harder to divorce, etal are an authoritarian State in action

No one is talking about forcing anyone to have kids. The point is that society should encourage and support family formation, not shame or discourage it. There's a massive difference between promoting family values and forcing people into anything.

Right now, Western culture glorifies being "childfree" and treats starting a family like it's some kind of burden. Meanwhile, birth rates are crashing, and societies are aging into collapse. You can't have a strong, stable country without strong families.

Also, let's be honest, it's not authoritarian to value life and protect the most vulnerable. What's authoritarian is pushing one worldview and demonizing anyone who believes in traditional values.

Who's shaming folk with children ?

People should be free to have any number they want. With as many partners as they want, as long as the Dad's foot the bill. That's what our Guv should focus on. 

Our Guv already supports  child bearing via tax credits, public education, free vaxx programs for kids. Yet, this Admin will kill public education and vaxxing in exchange for tax cuts.  wtf  kind of pro birth policy is that ?

There are RW birthing organizations working to have IVF and other high tech reproductive methods made a available only to couples who already have kids. Not to women who are struggling to become pregnant and carry to term. 

What kind of dystopian pro birth and pro family view is that ?

It is the goal of Maga to kill public ed. That attack it constantly. At best they want to reform it in order to make our public schools more like private religious institutes. At worst they want to keep it and have tax payers fund voucher programs. Simply so we will pay so their kids don't have to go to School with ours .

As to my sanity, going along with what's happening, defending it, down playing the concerns with it, minimizing those who do express these concerns, are exactly what this extremist movement relies on to get their agenda pushed through.

I'm a retired, vet, with left of Maga views. I've hit the jackpot in terms of being a target of their policies.
