You do realize this place is just a social media dumping ground, right?

I see you're back at it again, creep. And it looks like you didn't go back far enough while reacting to my posts. You also agreed with one poster, but reacted to one of my mine differently that stated pretty much the same thing.

Also, while stinky - barracuda are delicious!

This reminded me of a story. Many moons ago when my boys were in scouts (now 24 and 27) they were getting ready for their first fishing trip to Woods Canyon Lake which is in the White Mountains near the Scout camp. I decided to take them (and my neighbor's son) to a local park lake that was stock with catfish for a little practice. I set up my oldest son's rig and set him loose. While I was setting up my youngest son's rig my oldest boy caught a catfish the size of a stapler. We got a picture then I unhooked it and threw it back in the lake. My son yelled at me "Dad!!! I wanted to eat that!!". I laughed so hard. My neighbor's son told me that he and his dad went fishing a bunch but never caught a fish. On this day he caught his first fish, a bluegill, he pulled it out and was flailing away yelling "Get it off! Get it off!". Good times............

While I may not be a true southerner, I never pass up fried catfish on a menu.

@RSFwill like this story, most barracuda of the above size have ciguatera. Bahamians will filet a cuda and leave the scraps for the stray cats, if the cats are still alive the next day they know it’s safe to eat.

So then they filet the stray cats?

I eat grouper almost once a week blackened, never had an issue - same with hogfish.

Grouper is next level, always order it if it's freshly caught on the menu. Here it's called Hapuku.

I had it once in the Caribbean (before I realized the dangers) and it was pretty good. I'll look for it more out here.

Fish we've eaten the most here is Tarakihi, which is a type of deep sea perch, and Gurnard. Others we've tried are Kingfish (yellowtail amberjack), and butterfish which is really good, but kinda expensive.

You can eat the small ones in the Atlantic without worry.

I don't know man, I used to be really engaged in politics and it made me anxious and unhappy, and at the end of the day I could impact very little change beyond my vote.  I disengaged after doing a self analysis and realized that regardless of party or proposed changes, very little impacted my day to day life and frankly I had other things going on in my life that were more important.  Yes we should all be more engaged, but in todays environment I don't believe it to be healthy mentally to be so.

Being engaged in community government doesn't necessarily mean being engaged in politics. It depends on your community I guess.
