This is the new norm going forward. Boise and UNLV will keep a good portion of their roster because they do have a decent NIL, everyone else is at least a 50% turnover outside of their redshirts.

I'm figuring when it is all said and done, we will be losing around 15 players, until we get a new coach in place. It's the new landscape of football, NIL $$ and wanting to test the waters, who is willing to pay. Not all will get a new coin and maybe relegated to FCS. When new coaches get selected, they have final say if they want any retreads back into the fold. Most likely it is not a option if you want to start fresh and wouldn't be surprised that old teammates will want them back either.

So far (knock on wood), CSU has only had two entrants into the portal.  Both WR's.  Not unexpected with the new emphasis on the running game over the Air Raid.  I do expect more, but am a little surprised that none have happened yet.  Of course, we were senior heavy this year and the guys that proved they were worth a bigger bag graduated anyway.  We just let our DC go (incredibly dumb move IMO), so I suspect we'll definitely have some attrition on that side of the ball once a new guy is named and meets the players.  I'd expect more movement in the April portal after players get a handle on what their future looks like.
