The only way two G6 get in is if one of the P4 has a super down year.  The MWC won't get two teams in.  It is possible that the G6 get 2 teams in if both the MWC and American champions are ranked higher than the Big XII champ.   This year it is possible.

The UNLV defense seems susceptible to a running quarterback. Lewis with Nevada had a good day.

Madsen during the last game against the Rebels had 3 rushes for 58 yards, including a 50 yard run. I expect Madsen will be active running the ball.

Boise also had a wildcat look that I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull out for this one. Jeanty and Dubar on the field together with Madsen could make for some interesting play designs.

Also, Boise better play disciplined and contain Williams. He made Nevada's defense look silly every time he took off. In the last match-up versus Boise, Williams had over 100 yards on 19 attempts, but most of those yards were on one 70 yard carry.

I hope so very much that Teubner is good to go. He was practicing two weeks ago with the scout team, so he's expected back sometime.

Teubner was integral in stopping UNLV with a sack and two tackles for a loss versus the Rebels.

Tuebner was jogging without a limp in sweats at Oregon State game. I think he’ll be good to go.

OG Carreon back to healthy should be a difference maker. Mason Randolph at C rotation getting back to full strength. Sire Gaines at RB2 could be happening too.

Jeanty was a couple shoestring tackles from breaking 200 yards in the first game. He’s got no elbow brace in this one.

Should be a fun one. I’m expecting an offensive shootout.

Hope the moment isn't too big for this UNLV team. It really seemed that way last year.

I think both QB's could have big running games in this one.

Hopefully will be a good competitive game.

I got Conference Championship tickets last week and opted to buy tickets off of Ticketmaster rather than buy via UNLV. Got seats in Section 9 Row I. May prefer to sit with rest of the Rebel fans but didn’t want to be relegated to cheap seats.

Couple questions:

1. No seat backs. Although I don’t intend on sitting much, is it recommended to bring cushion or seat back? Can I bring my own?

2. Does Albertsons Stadium sell beer, wine or liquor? Looks like it was dry at least in 2020.

3. Flying in on Friday at 3PM. Figure to drop a bag at The Grove Hotel and head to stadium. Any recommended bars to stop in on way to Stadium?

1. You can rent padded seats with back rests for $15 each.

2. You can buy beer, wine, and hard seltzers inside the stadium. No hard liquor except in the luxury suites or loge boxes.

3. Plenty of bars in Boise but not much between the Grove Hotel and the stadium. Just go downtown.

There’s a shuttle service that runs downtown to the campus every 9 minutes. I would just take one to East Stadium and then walk across the street and hit SUDS, there’s a more upscale whiskey bar next to SUDS if you would like. Or, you could get really posh and hit the local Wyoming bar that is right there, Chilis.

You can bring your own cushion or stadium chair as long as it has no arms and isn’t over 16 inches wide. As noted above it’s probably easier just to rent a stadium chair for $15. However, before you do check your seat first because there may already be a permanent chair there from the season ticket holder assuming they didn’t pick up their ticket and you bought it.

Tons of bars within a few blocks of the Grove hotel. It’s an approx one mile walk to the stadium thru Julia Davis Park if you don’t have any physical handicaps, or as noted there’s a shuttle downtown to the stadium.

Have a great stay other than winning the game.

Yep, the highest ranked G5 conference champion is in, extremely unlikely an at large G5 gets in. This is basically a playin game.

Im guessing Boise will win, but obviously would love to see it go the other way.

9 is pretty close to Rebel section (10/11).

There’s all sorts of bars near the Grove but not sure you’ve got time.

I’d just get in the stadium 45 minutes before game time and grab a $14 beer there before the lines. If you plan on getting to the stadium 20 minutes before game time, you may be watching the first quarter from the metal detectors (if you’re lucky and have view of big screen). And make sure you go to the right entrance gate on your ticket.

Also, there were no patdowns this week (at least on eastside).  Could’ve snuck some liquor in a jacket relatively easy. As long as it’s not metal.

This was line at start of Oregon State game:

lol you people. You're biting the hand that feeds you. The irony here is just crazy. They've literally designed the current format to cater to the G5 conferences for the next 2 playoffs, and this is your reaction? They won't "let" a second team in? FOH. In 2026 it's expanding to 14 teams, thus *increasing* the odds for worse teams to get in. The expanded playoff absolutely *fucks* the best teams.

Maybe G5 programs should schedule and beat good opponents OOC. UNLV and BSU almost got that done this year, but that's the exception. You can't seriously believe a team like Memphis should be in over a team like South Carolina.

Most of the best G5 programs have moved into the P4 to fill the gaps created by all this expansion nonsense. Going back to Utah and Louisville, TCU, now SMU and Houston and BYU and Cincinnati and UCF. Of COURSE the G5 won't be getting 2 teams in unless some crazy shit happens, they don't deserve to!

What's the 2nd best G5 program after Boise, Marshall? Navy? Northen Illinois? Toledo? Memphis? Fresno?

You might want to check the updated rankings.  Both Big 12 CCG participants, Clemson (ACC), & UNLV are ranked higher than Army so it's going to be just the MWC champ that goes to the CFP in that case.

It looked like two G6 teams were headed to the CFP until Tulane lost to Memphis which pretty much eliminated the AAC from the CFP.  I like this new college football playoff format.

you'd just have to head a block north to Main street and bars galore....Penguilly's has the old west vibe. Cactus is the trash dive bar downtown. The whiskey bar is pretty casual. Choices go on and on.
