I wish Riley Gaines had been around then to save me from the embarrassment. God damn mixed sports! And one time in band camp we had to switch out a skinny male tuba player with a more heavier women tuba player so the skinny guy wouldn’t get hurt carrying it. 1

Sad that you can't have a conversation on this without accusing people with differing opinions of being anti trans. Besides the ick factor, what's the argument ? If a man’s sucks at basketball then maybe he should play with the women team who are more at his competition level or vice versa? It shouldn’t matter what sex you are if all you’re looking for is fair competition or safety. Explain the separation for tennis, bowling, golf, where you don’t have to be physically superior to compete? Sports is a competition, where the best competes against each other, it makes no sense to me to have watered down leagues just so the competition is even. Yeah!!! And no kids sports either! What's the point of having them? No 10 year old can hold his own in the NBA!!! Sorry for the sarcasm, but I think title 9 (having women's sports) is important. 2

Let's have an all-Earthling league and we can all sit in the stands and cheer on silver back gorillas. You're using some pretty flimsy arguments here. 1

But I agree with you that we are all "humans" and forms should not ask what race a person is whatsoever. It is wholly irrelevant for everything and there will continue to be divide while we continue to ask questions directly suggesting that there is a divide. 1

He is a mere All MWC Honorable Mention. There are 18 women in the MW who are better than him. The competition is equal. He enjoys no advantage. Outside of some locker room issues which can be resolved, it sounds like many just can't accept transgenderism. This is nonsense in my view. Are you suggesting that the appropriate test as to whether we should allow biological males to play women sports is the eye test of 'how good they are?'

If he wasn't good enough to earn a men's scholarship (not saying he wasn't....I don't know, but that's the premise of your post), why should he take a scholarship away from a woman who would otherwise get his women's VB scholarship? 2

I’m all for kids sports, it’s a training ground for college and professional sports. I’ve seen many a little league baseball team with girls in it and they are good enough to compete. Even seen a few girls compete in Pop Warner football and do great. I even seen some boys on the cheerleading squad. Why is it it’s not separated by gender for them and only when you get to high school you have to separate them. Why is it that if you’re good enough as a woman you can play on the men’s team but if you’re a male that not good enough for the men’s team you can’t play on the women’s team? Title 9 is garbage if it’s only applicable to college sports. Makes no sense anymore now that college players are technically getting paid to play. Why doesn’t it apply to every job out there? 1

To me there are holes in this entire argument. However, ultimately it's not worth debating because it's not important for me to change your mind. It is okay with me if you feel this way. I don't. I think title 9 and the women's sports it enables is important even though it's not perfect. 1

This is because only one pair of chromosomes determines sex, and those born genetically male have one X chromosome inherited from their mother, and one Y chromosome inherited from their father. However, there are at-home gender tests that require a blood sample and test for the presence or absence of the male Y chromosome in your blood to determine your baby's sex.

Just suggesting they use it (if it could) to be in compliant with title 9. They can also use it as part of their physicals to determine eligibility for women’s sports… if you want to play in women’s sports take a DNA test to prove you’re a women and not a man with his winnie cut off.
