ltcpilot Posted Thursday at 04:57 PM Posted Thursday at 04:57 PM For the 3rd time, BSU standing up for their women's rights. Nicely done IMHO. SJSU going to Mountain West volleyball final as Boise State forfeits semifinals amid trans player controversy https://www.foxnews.com/sports/sjsu-going-mountain-west-volleyball-final-boise-state-forfeits-semifinals-amid-trans-player-controversy 5 1 1
Supersix Posted Thursday at 05:20 PM Posted Thursday at 05:20 PM They should have manned up and played the game and taken the transgender out with an 80 mph kill. 3 2
Spaztecs Posted Thursday at 05:23 PM Posted Thursday at 05:23 PM No, more like fear of playing against a tranny who is only good enough to play in the MW. If he was that athletically superior , he would be playing in the P4 or have gone pro by now. At the High School level you have an argument. At the College level all athletes find their level. Please show us on the doll where the tranny touched you. 2 2 1 4
Chalsean Posted Thursday at 06:00 PM Posted Thursday at 06:00 PM Its the third year that athlete has been there. Meaning all the teams faced her for two years without knowing a thing. So its not like she's some super human cratering faces with a spike. Hell SJSU went 0-3 twice against BSU last year. 7 1 1
sjsbuff Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM I think the BSU players will look back on this someday and regret not playing - you know, if for no other reason than to try and stick it to the SJSU player/team. But this is their (collective) choice, so I respect their wishes. Ultimately, they are the ones that have to live with that decision, not me... 1 1
Hashbrowns Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM Posted Thursday at 06:28 PM Should have put Andrea Meadow and O’marra Stanley out there to spike it in their faces. 1
Slappy Posted Thursday at 08:00 PM Posted Thursday at 08:00 PM Don’t understand a man wanting to compete with women. Struggling to see the competitive sporting side of this argument. 5
HylianHero Posted Thursday at 08:20 PM Posted Thursday at 08:20 PM This is weak in my opinion. Voluntarily choosing to end your season when you're two wins away from the NCAA tournament. Boise played against SJSU for the last three years and per that ESPN article, the safety concerns are basically unfounded. 3 1

Might be the only way they can be “pc” about taking a stand is to bring up safety concerns. Don’t know all the facts but just seems like women’s sports were carved out to ensure competitive balance amongst women. So that they could compete and play at the highest level possible with a women’s body. This is weird how it has gotten all turned around. 6
Soupslam Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM They took a stand and I applaud them for it. Guys don’t belong in women’s sports. 8
dtd Posted Thursday at 08:47 PM Posted Thursday at 08:47 PM If athletics weren't separated by gender, there would be no female athletes at all. 4

Because SJSU lied and hid the fact there was a dude on the team, they ignored the concerns of their real woman players and coaches as well. 2

Identifying as a woman and competing in women's sports after going through puberty as a male presents an unfair advantage. 7

Like I said earlier, it does matter at the HS level. It doesn't in College because with the free transfer rules, you eventually end up at the level you belong at.

So it’s ok as long as she is not too good? Should they have tryouts to determine if transgender individuals are too athletic for women’s sports? Then it would be ok to forfeit? 3 1
