Akkula Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Speaking of supply chain train wrecks President-elect Donald J. Trump said on Monday that he would impose a 25 percent tariff on all products coming into the United States from Canada and Mexico on his first day in office, a move that would scramble North American supply chains and impose heavy costs on businesses around the continent. Good luck with that! Good thing he is just a windbag that his own supporters say not to take seriously. He doesnt have the guts. More governing by tweet with no follow through or plan. Do it you big coward ace watch the mass layoffs in the automobile industry! 1 1

I think this Article says it well. "does Trump have in mind a presidency driven by spectacle and brinkmanship that succeeds, like his first, in delivering mostly incremental change?" This is a sequel that shouldnt have been made of a mediocre "caretaker" presidency. His "government by tweet" model kept cable news enthralled with his insults, threats, and palace intrigue, but he delivered very little actual change. The "dealmaker" delivered very little and mostly backed down from his threats and then claimed victory. I hope he is not so chickenshit this time and actually follow through with mass deportations and tariffs. More likely he will just stick to the status quo, like last time and blame Democrats for his failures. I see he is already trying to preemptively blame "sanctuary cities" for his upcoming immigration failure instead of actually getting the immigration laws changed. It is much easier to send a tweet than to just do the hard work of making actual change. It is very likely he will not even try to change any immigration or trade laws. That is too much work! The guy is not a true changemaker, he simply plays one on TV for his rube vieras to think bluster and bullshit are actual lasting changes. Donald Trump is not a serious man who wants to put in the hard work of a change agent. It is best to just ignore him and carry on. After all his hyperbolic hyperventilating is done, it is very likely to be another presidency with very little to show other than very incremental changes and giant tax cuts for the wealthy. Donald Trump would be dangerous if he wasn't so utterly ineffective. 1
Buttermaker Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I keep saying that I hope all trump does is continue to entertain. If that's all he does for the next 4 years then it will be no harm no foul.

sjsbuff Posted November 27 Posted November 27 The Twice Impeached Thirty Four Times Convicted Orange Shitstain is always obsessed with the Stock Market. Needless to say, his proposed tariff policies would likely tank the market, so one wonders where he can find any semblance of "balance" between his two of his primary (conflicting) desires...

My portfolio is up 6.5% in the 30 days since the election. . That's over 75% annualized. If I wasn't in semis, which have been hit by tariff panic, it'd be more like 125%. And oh yeah, BTC just surpassed $100K 1
