Bronco54 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Boise State is one of the four Mountain West volleyball teams that has chosen to forfeit their matches this season against San Jose State because San Jose State has - all season long - been playing with a biological male on their "women's" volleyball team. Boise State and Wyoming both forfeited both of their scheduled matches against San Jose State this season (Nevada and Utah State had only one scheduled match vs. SJSU and they both forfeited those matches as well). This is the same biological male who has been accused by one of the assistant coaches on the SJSU volleyball team of conspiring (with a player of another MWC volleyball team) to injure the SJSU co-captain during their match. Because that SJSU co-captain has joined the lawsuit against San Jose State and the Mountain West conference for allowing this biological male to play volleyball for SJSU this season. The possible scenario that is about to play out at this week's 2024 MWC volleyball tournament is Boise State is the # 6 Seeded team at the tournament and their first match is against # 3 Seed Fresno State. Boise State just defeated Fresno State last Saturday, in Boise, 3-0. IF Boise State wins their first match in the tournament vs. Fresno State their next opponent would be..............yep...................you guessed it...........San Jose State (the # 2 Seed as a result of SIX games they "won" because of forfeits this season). FresnoFacts Posted November 25 Posted November 25 One correction. The MWC announced seedings with Fresno State as #4 and Utah State as #3. So Boise opens against USU before possibly facing SJSU. Or if USU were to win they would face SJSU next. But somehow the teams on SJSU's side of the bracket are teams who forfeited to the Spartans during the regular season. Teams that played SJSU are on the opposite side. 2

LMAO...SJSU gets a walk-over into the finals

Now, if you beat Utah State in your bracket, You will get to play against them unless your coach decides to forfeit again

Supersix Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Fresno State did not back down and defeated Joser on their home court. Senior Ella Rud, our outside hitter, almost took out the transgender with a 75mph kill.

CoachKenFTW Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Culture warriors ruin everything. I feel bad for actual fans of the sport. 3
4UNLV Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Isn’t this like the 3rd year this person has been on the team? (I could be wrong.) Go beat them. And no, men shouldn’t play against women. But I don’t think forfeiting games was the way to go about change, and now here we are.

The summer after high school, my daughter (who played club soccer since 4th grade) played on a co-ed team. Do you know how much harder the men could kick the ball? They had to tone it down or they would have hurt the women. As well as go easier on shoulder tackles. This was a co-ed league so everyone knew what they were getting into and the men knew they couldn't play like they were playing against other men.

Also if they did play then only the 500 ppl that care about MW women's volleyball would even know about it. By not playing they made it a national story. Sometimes change requires sacrifice.
Chalsean Posted November 26 Posted November 26 The culture war stuff is getting so tiresome. What we got 1 trans volleyball player in the entire country of 330 million and people just lose their shit. I wish we had such a focus on wealth inequality or mass transit solutions. But no, lets spend months talking about this 1 person 6 2

He must not have been much of a player. I mean, he is only good enough to play in the MW. If he were truly that dominant and over powering, wouldn't he be playing at a P4 ? Or, have turned pro by now ?

He was in Florida first (I think) then was forced to transfer when they passed a law against biological males in women’s sports. And of course he ends up in California where everyone is too PC/scared to even punish low performing minorities.

My cousin is 6'4 was a very good all-state player at a mid sized Midwestern high school, but he was far from elite. He played on competitive club teams in college. It's purely anecdotal, but I couldn't imagine the holy hell he would unleash if he was playing on a collegiate women's team.
Soupslam Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Is the trans guy a senior yet? If so, he won’t be around next year. Of course some other trans guy could take his place.

So years of play before anybody got their panties in a twist.
