Bronco, never interviewed for the USU job.  USU showed interest and requested to speak with him, however Bronco decided against it.  He has a 3 million buy out in year one, which goes down to 2 million in year two.

SJSU coach KEN said he didn't interview either ...but we will see if that is true.

Yup, there’s a lot of false information being thrown out there by some USU fans, that seem to have an inflated image of themselves.  They should be more worried about how they’re going to pay for their buy in to the pac.

I hope you are right. I imagine you are in the know then? I could only see him leaving to USU for faith reasons. He wouldn’t make much more at USU because UNM will likely offer a pay increase after the season.

It has nothing to do with ego. Several insiders with decent credibility have reported BM and KN have interviewed. We are just going with what has been reported. The entrance to the PAC was paid for by a wealthy donor. I still think it will end up being Jay Hill FWIW. I don’t think there are a ton of reasons to leave UNM for USU unless BM wants to be back in Utah or in the new whatever it’s called conference.

Yes the separation is so apparent, look at all the quality schools begging to join the PAC7. There is New Mexico st, Sac State ….  That is some definite separation.

As opposed to UTEP and UH full time. And reaching out to MAC Schools ? That is rich.

Ahh yes. It might affect that side of things, but from what I've heard (might be BS) USU is offering 1.2-1.7 mm a year for the gig.

That’s it???? Lol

There is a massive difference between Schools begging and the Pac inviting.

The only way the NewMags or Sad Sac State join is out of complete and total desperation. I have no doubt Texas State is the backup plan and last add with AAC Schools. Much like Utah was the last Pac add regardless of whether OUT joined or not.

Well so far everyone the Pac has invited have said no thanks. Texas state as far as I have seen has not asked the PAC to join but I agree might of invited. But Texas State is far from a high value add and doesn’t scream separation.

roflmao

Texas State has more athletic value and competitive quality than the bottom end of the MW.

You left behinds and your hurt fee fees are hysterical. Outside of UNLV,  (who are  finally performing up to their potential),  the separation in revenue, performance, Bowl games, NCAAT credits, and media value is large.

That was true of the old PAC 12. All that is wishful thinking of the PAC State 6.

I heard from a guy who heard from a guy that knows an insider that Nick Saban retired so he could take his dream job at USU.

Once he found out they paid their way into the PAC it was a done deal. Showed a real commitment to excellence and business savvy.

lol. CSU and SDSU are getting absolutely robbed paying their coaches that much. The PAC apparently is where you want to be if wasting money on coaches is the name of the game.

So far BSU is getting a decent deal, but we’ll see how that looks once Jeanty is gone. I’m thinking the results fall off.

Lots of smart money choices being made in the PAC group for sure.

Wrong he has interviewed and is still a very high possibility if Jay Hill doesn't pan out. I have a person close to me on Utah states board of directors. After things work themselves out I will provide something you will find interesting.

You don’t know what you don’t know.
