And the people have more of an impact with voting in their State then on the Federal level, so yes they do have more power. 3

Abortions aren't contagious.

In NC Statewide offices typically go to Dems, but the Leg has a veto proof super majority. In Florida it takes 60% to pass an initiative because that's how the State Leg wants it Here in Utah they attempted to get an Amendment on the Ballot that would give the Leg the authority to ignore or alter Citizens Initiatives. That sounds like a powerful Independent State Leg that isn't answerable to the Electorate. A fiefdom. 1
