IIRC as of 10 months or so ago we had 300 million of the total 500 million for all planned facility upgrades across the AD secured. That should take care of the East Side and TBA renovations. I guess the question is CAN any of this 25 million be used for NIL? @Hashbrowns
ZonaPoke Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I only spent some time in Boise, but was there when both his wife and later himself died so heard a bit about his life. Basically, was a simple potato farmer who became an early investor in Micron over a lunch meeting with friends. Some dudes have all the luck... LOL 5

That is my hope. We shattered our projections for the pace for securing funding for facility upgrades already so I would hope we sink a big chunk of this into securing some portal talent.

I don't think the University can directly put funds into an NIL collective. I'm certain there are some shady ways to get it done.
kingpotato Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I think I read that this was a football donation. This should push up the east side stadium upgrade, but that won't be next. Next is the basketball practice facility. My guess would be that the basketball arena is next. Watch Dickey do to the X what he did with the stadium. Increase the fan experience to bring in extra revenue for the program. Suites are in the plan. After that, my guess is they build the 4-6k multipurpose arena for women's basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics. Dickey constantly states that the efforts are across all athletics and not just football. That rock would kill a lot of birds. It would also provide another venue that can be rented out for concerts and other events. 1

The maximum athlete payroll for an athletic department will be $22 million per year, across all sports. Screw NIL, we're all going to have salaries to pay.

I doubt any of the PAC schools will come up with that amount, but some amount is in the cards at Boise State, but who knows how much. I’d be surprised if it is half of that. If they raise ticket prices to fund salaries I’ll be opting out and put all my money into basketball.

Didn’t Danielson say they don’t offer NIL to recruits . You gotta earn that through on the field results 1

The MIL is from Sweden, I avoid trips with her and the Wife to IKEA. That place is a death trap for men avoiding heavy labor.
