Just bc you wish it to be true doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

I have never said it is going to happen. I have said that it is a possibility.

So you are saying that the main reason that the Ds always seem to get the popular vote is because more US voters vote D?

Run up the score, what the heck does that mean? Lord.

The margins in Red States are also closer than in the Blue States.

You have to understand that Trump getting the popular vote is within the realm of realistic possibilities, especially this year.  You may not like it, and I understand that.

Yeah, sure.

I mean, a Republican hasn't won the popular vote for 36 years, but this is the candidate who's going to do it. During this election.

Careful not to sprain an elbow hugging those nuts so hard. And put that Trump boner away before you hurt someone.

Bush won the popular vote in 2004.

I've decided I'm voting D down ballot this year, if for no other reason that to bc @bornontheblue is so afraid of the D.

I mean, it seems as if he's absolutely terrified of the D's. It's almost as if he has wet dreams nightmares in which he's assailed by a bunch of D's...

Show us on the Trump doll where the D's touched you.

Yep - my bad. So once in 36 years then.

It's worth noting he was both an incumbent and a wartime president, so the situation was somewhat different.

I am however interested to see how favorability ratings of each compared this close to the election. 🤔

He is giddy at that possibility because he cares so much about elections that he is hopelessly addicted to talking about elections. He is going to make SEVERAL hundred election posts on here over the next 6 days.

I like you. You are an intelligent guy. This isn’t an intelligent post from you though.

Yea, literally the only actual memory I have of a Republican presidential candidate winning the popular vote, which is pretty wild.

You know that Trump is leading in the national polling right now. You know that right ?

Back achya. Well, not the last part - nothing unintelligent about this post. In fact, I would argue it's one of your better posts in the thread. 😀

j/k... anyway, sometimes I have to swing low just to remind myself what it feels like.

lol you’ve said “he could win the popular vote!” like 5 times in this thread alone. You clearly want it to happen.

put your money where your mouth is. I’ll bet you 1000 dollars (you don’t have) he loses the popular vote. I’m sure that’s too rich for your blood tho bc you’re poor af.

lol. No kidding. For someone who “doesn’t care” it’s weird he has the most posts in the political threads. And it’s weird that someone who is allegedly anti Trump like he says he is would use something like 93% of those posts to fellate and defend Trump.

he’s a loser just like his political hero

Hillary won the popular in 2016 .

When support among African Americans , Latinos, and Young people which are vital to the Democrat coalition has slumped off you are going to see margins cut into.

I think it is possible Trump wins the popular, not probable. I’d give it a  10 percent chance .

I really like the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, where states that are signatories to the compact agree to cast their electoral college votes to the popular vote winner. It's a grass-roots, bipartisan effort that could marginalize the power of the seven swing states with enough states participating.

So basically eliminating the EC.

I give Trump a 1 in 500 chance to win the popular vote.

I'd be far less surprised if Harris wins by a larger margin than Biden did in 2020.

yes...but making it closer to what the Founding Fathers intended.

the "House" was supposed to expand with the growth in population, not be limited to 435 seats

Wyoming has 1 seat for 581k folks, if California had the same proportion, as intended, it would have 67 seats, not 52.

That was in response to your comment on the polls, not popular vote.

No. Because words have meaning 'n shit.

Think of it as more of a completely legal and constitutionally-authorized work-around that allows the majority to not let a minority of mostly two-toothed cousin-fuckers decide our collective fate. In a word?
