I'm on the Jeanty train. However, SDSU had a couple of guys that could run the ball that you might have heard of not named Faulk.

Back to back 2000 + yards rushing. Over 3,150 in 2016 combined.

Both played in the NFL. I'm sure Jeanty will as well. Pretty sure. 😁

Penny is actually a good example of the uphill climb Jeanty faces. Penny didn’t even get invited to New York, and that man was a monster. One of those directional Florida schools had a kid who ran for like 2600 yards in the 2000s and I think he just squeezed into the Top 10 of voting.

I DO think Jeanty will get to New York and I would much rather have him win it than Mario Cristobal or Deion Sanders trying to pad their coaching legacies with a Heisman winner, but this is one of those things I need to see before I believe it can happen.

Jeanty isn’t even that good besides his ability to run, and be strong, and fast, and smart, and quick, and naturally athletic, and can catch passes, and has a ton of stamina.

Other than that, dude fuckin sucks at football. I’m probably better honestly.

Lol! Neil Armstrong wasn’t even that good besides being the first human being to walk on the moon. Other than that, dude sucked as an astronaut. I’m probably better, honestly.

You should watch Jeanty then. He’s better than Faulk.

lol Faulk broke the NCAA single game rushing record the first game he ever played as a true frosh.  First game ever played. He put up over 1/3 of what jeanty has in five games in his first fin game. Lololol Nevermind he’s in the college and pro hof either.

Sure they do.  Faulk never ever, ever, ever once in his career came remotely close to putting up similar numbers in 5 games...and Jeanty has sat for the second half of two of them...

If you say you have seen a RB this good through 5 games ever...you are lying.

OH OH OH...and then what?

The stats don't lie.  Faulk never put up Jeanty like numbers to start a season or in any 5 game stretch or 90 carry stretch ever, or even fucking close.

And jeanty has basically only played 3.75 games.  90 carries...Faulk never touched this level. He got 1.5 quarters against Portland State and was sat at half against USU. Just stop.

Them is the facts...

Jeanty has 16 TDs in 5 games. He has 8 runs of more than 50 yards. That would be good enough to tie with Navy for 2nd in the nation as_a_team. He has 7 runs of more than 60 yards. That would be second in the nation(behind BSU lol). He has 4 runs of more than 70 yards. That's #1 in the nation(tied with North Texas[and BSU obviously]).

Yall are missing the point. Gino Torretta won the Heisman over Faulk, with a 57% completion percentage,  19 td passes and 7 interception, while Faulks stats were much more impressive. IMHO, it is very likely the same thing happens to Jeanty, with a QB from a big name school with less impressive stats is very likely to take home the award.

Maybe, but Jeanty is getting a lot more national coverage than Faulk did. Different times, so we’ll have to see how it plays out.

Different times, back then they had awarded heismans to non power conference teams the previous 2 years. It has now been 34 years since a non power league school player has won the award.  I hope Jeanty gets it, but would be surprised if he did.

BSU fans are getting into a hissy fit because I said Faulk was the best player I have seen, by which I mean which I personally watched play live. Didn't want to start a dick measuring contest between the donks and suds,  both are great players.

Nobody thinks Jeanty will win.  The whole fucking thing is rigged.  That is the point.

Just like Jeanty should have been the consensus All American RB last year, instead it was given to fucking Ollie LMFAO.   Anybody with eyes could tell Jeanty was better, and he had better stats too, when considering receiving yards.  He was better in every single one of PFFs categories.  Every.  Single.  One.

Jeanty is the best player in the Nation.  It is not even close at this point.

Nobody thinks he will win.  Some run of the mill QB like Cam Ward who puts up stats we see 4-5 times a year, every year, will win instead.  We know this.

Meanwhile we are on Barry watch...

The amount of buzz from notable people is impressive. It will only grow if Jeanty is able to keep this up.

A straw poll of actual Heisman voters has Hunter #1 with a slim lead over Jeanty. Nobody else was close.

@RSF

Kind of cool seeing non-QB's in the lead halfway through the season.  Jeanty does have some head winds working against him though.  The last player to win the Heisman at a G5 school was Ty Detmer at yBu 🤮.  The last player to win the Heisman at a current G5 school was all the way back in 1963 when Roger Staubach won at Navy!

The last RB to win the Heisman Trophy was Alabama’s Derrick Henry in 2015. Henry finished his Heisman season with 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns in 15 games.  Jeanty is currently on pace to break Henry’s rushing feat from 2015. Additionally, he is on track to beat Barry Sanders’ 1988 record at Oklahoma State with 2,628 rushing yards.

For me, if Jeanty breaks Barry Sanders record that will be an absolute game changer.  It would lock down the Heisman for sure.  Would that also put him at #1 in the NFL draft?  It very well could and in my opinion should!
