They've been on the wrong end of the rivalry for a long time, so I get why they are riled up.

The SFV is a strange place man.  I moved back about a year ago.  $1MM+ homes in very nice neighborhoods encapsulated in a complete shithole.   Going to the Van Nuys DMV was like little Beirut.  Only staying here to take care of dad and then it's to Ventura or back to Vegas.

I never lived in the Valley, but I was there almost every day for work from 2002-2014 when I lived in Camarillo.  It's even changed since then, the homeless situation has gotten a lot worse.

You are correct, there are pockets of nice stuff, surrounded by not so nice stuff.  And Burbank is essentially it's own animal, separate from the rest of the Valley.  All those multifamily urban professional buildings in what used to be pretty ghetto areas in NoHo is very different from 20 years.  It still feels less urban and crowed than West LA and South Bay to me, and obviously it's a lot easier to find parking.  I like the SFV, but wouldn't want to live there to be honest.

I grew up on east end of ventura so camarillo was only like 5-10 mins away on the back end via 118. it's crazy how much that area and moorpark have grown.  If I ever hit the lottery I'd probably retire to Carpenteria.

Agreed, though I've gotta admit I'm fearing what Ohtani is going to mean to them next year when he both hits and pitches. I mean, it didn't get the Angels anywhere, but nothing ever seems to get the Angels anywhere. I don't know how they lucked into their one championship back in the day. (yes, Dodger fans I know that's one more than us)

I can’t stand the Dodgers but I have to point out they won the World Series seven times back in the day, not just once.

Yeahhhhh right. 🙄

Are you for fucking real? 🤣 I literally just wore a jersey to multiple NLDS games that says "YERMOM 69."

Ask any baseball fan not sucking the dick of Dodger blue which fan base has more personality and more class, and which one is a generic mashup of corporate sterility and ghetto trash, and you'll get what I would argue is a desperately-needed reality check my man.

Also, your lame-as-shit meme fail illustrates just how clueless you are about the SDC. You see, we grew up hating LA. Not because of the Dodgers - that didn't factor into it. Shit, growing up a Padres fan, I could (and can still) name the entire Dodgers roster from the late '70s...  Lasorda was the best. No, the LA Ohtanis didn't factor into it at all.

We hated LA because that unmitigated sprawl of an urban concrete shithole gave us pollution, gave us fucked-up traffic that clogged our freeways on the weekends (with extraordinarily bad drivers), and gave us gang violence. We hate LA because most Los Angeleans are the most plasticine, shallow, clueless twats in the country. We hate Los Angeles for stealing our NBA team and our NFL team.

So to redirect your rather misguided small-dick energy, we don't hate LA because of the Dodgers; we hate the Dodgers because of LA. And your trash fan base has been on Full Display this series for the entire country to see what we've known for a long, long time.

This long post just proved my point..  Typical San Diego, no sense of humor.

You think we want/ed those shitty teams. I'm all for relocating the Chargers to Oakland, San Antonio or back to San Diego.

And I get the little brother syndrome. I'd be pissed too, I constantly got my older brother's hand-me-downs. 😂

Other than great craft beer, nothing good has ever come out of Step-brother Diego. LA's septic tank. 🤣

During BP there was a couple hanging out next to our seats as their son hung out at the wall hoping for a BP ball. She was a Dodgers fan, he an Angels fan. He had nothing good to say about Angels ownership, was happy Ohtani got the chance to play for a contender, and said he wishes Trout would bail to go do the same.

Not to be confused with your Padres zero championships. 😉

Lulz. And that's why no one likes you cuntmonkeys. 🙄 Enjoy living in your bum cum-stained shithole of a concrete homeless encampment. SD is an absolute paradise compared to the crackhead's supersized prolapsed colon that is LA. Now get back to workin yer corner in WeHo. A Padres fan will be by to collect your tears in another few hours.

I see you mentioned TJ, where yer mom always cums in 3rd, right after the two donkeys she performs with.

And since you're knowledge of history is apparently as fucked as you cunts will feel after we send you home crying again, please let me inform you that as SD predates your urban clusterfuck of an overcrowded dystopian anal wart, that technically makes you our little brother. But fwiw, we're too ashamed to let anyone know we're actually related.

And lulz at your fucktarded take on Mexican food.

@The San Diegan, joking aside. The hate has always been a one way thing. Can't ever say I heard anyone from Los Angeles talk negatively about San Diego.

That's probably for the reasons I mention above. Dude - our dislike of LA is legit...

That's not to say that there aren't a lot of good people up there - I met a few just last week that came down for the Wildcard Series; they had moved there from Atlanta.

I’ve spent a lot of time in LA over the course of my life. I’ve always found that once you get off the freeways people aren’t much different, especially compared to people outside of SoCal.

Why you gotta say something like that perfectly reasonable and impossible to argue against?  I was having fun.

Of course you are right, people are people everywhere, and especially in Southern California which is it's own universe.

One thing has always made me curious.  If I tell a bay area person I live in Visalia, more often than not, they know it's a town south of Fresno in the San Joaquin Valley, that they look down on.  If I tell a person from Southern California I am from Visalia, there is a greater than 50% chance they have never heard of it.  I might as well be from some random town in Nebraska.  But they don't look down on me, they just don't care.  Anything north of Magic Mountain is not their ecosystem.

San Diego is a beautiful city obviously.  And the LA metro, for all it's flaws, is a really cool place as well.  I love southern california, I really do.  The Bay Area, I don't know the freeways as well, and the people are a little different.  Not worse or better, it's just a little different, and since I've never lived there, I feel more comfortable in SoCal.

I've lived in both SoCal and NorCal and I feel more comfortable in SoCal too. There's a little town in Madera County called North Fork and it's near the geographical center of our Golden State. So anything north of there is considered Northern California and south of it is Southern California. Fresno State did the survey and it's been officially recognized by the state.
