I can see why you are a fan of a team full of of insufferable assclowns lol

yermom 69 apparently isn't on the team and I won't say he's insufferable but that guy is a 100% assclown

Don't gloat until it's over.  But that sort of sums up the Padres & fans lol.  Dodger fans have issues. They really need to do something about the bleacher crowds.  It's mayhem.  It needs to be fixed.

That said, even if Dodgers pull it out, they're not winning anything this year with the pitching staff.  If they don't get beat tomorrow, the Mets will beat them.

@MissionTrails I kept waiting for you to drop in below! 🙂 I really could have used a 2nd beer given how the game unfolded... I know I wasn't in your line-of-sight per se, but I was still visible enough that random people in the section kept asking to take a picture with Yermom. 😀

True story: my nephew and I are enrt to the ballpark yesterday when a thought crossed my mind followed immediately by an "Oh shit!" I realized that anybody who happened to both a) read this thread, and b) be at the ballpark could come claim their beer. And then the real you would show up and I'd think you were full of shit. 🤣

Also, as we were behind, there was no ATST sing-along in the middle of the 8th in case you were wondering. Hope you had a good time last night regardless of the outcome.

Ah man, so this is what happened. My buddy and I took the trolley downtown early enough to grab some dinner in the Gaslamp before downing beers at the game. We arrive early enough, but our favorite eating establishments were all packed and had a long wait. Then a buddy who has season tickets (inherited from grandparents that started going in the inaugural 1969 season) called me and said he was in the members-only pavilion and could get us in for cheap beers before the game. We headed there figuring we'd have dinner there too. Alas, no food there, only beer and Cutwater. We said "F it" and started pounding brews. Then grabbed a quick hot dog (and 20 oz cans of IPA) on the way to our seats and stumbled up the stairs in nosebleed. Needless to say, "YerMom-69" didn't even cross my mind after that (first time for everything). Way too much beer on an empty stomach - I'm not built for that like I was at SDSU. Sorry for leaving you hanging.

Horrible game. Congrats to the Dodgers for dealing with both the media noise and the crowd noise and handling business. Now it's on us to do the same. Would have been great to clinch in front of the home crowd but letting our least favorite fanbase watch us celebrate in front of them would be a nice consolation prize. Go Pads!

Dude - no apologies necessary! Sec 128 is rowdy AF and we always have a good time. Game aside, I hope you had a good time as well - that's a hell of a pre-game itinerary. 🤣

We do it right in LA bro.  You should see the setup on the corner of Balboa & Devonshire.  Dude has an entire crib setup. Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen. Here is an example.

That's pretty impressive actually. I'd stay there. Is he on VRBO or AirBnB or....? Do you have to BYOB (bag)?😎

This post right here is why I prefer Angelenos to San Diegans

Angelenos can laugh at themselves, San Diegans take themselves way too seriously

Yeahhhhh right. 🙄

Are you for fucking real? 🤣 I literally just wore a jersey to multiple NLDS games that says "YERMOM 69."

Ask any baseball fan not sucking the dick of Dodger blue which fan base has more personality and more class, and which one is a generic mashup of corporate sterility and ghetto trash, and you'll get what I would argue is a desperately-needed reality check my man.

Also, your lame-as-shit meme fail illustrates just how clueless you are about the SDC. You see, we grew up hating LA. Not because of the Dodgers - that didn't factor into it. Shit, growing up a Padres fan, I could (and can still) name the entire Dodgers roster from the late '70s...  Lasorda was the best. No, the LA Ohtanis didn't factor into it at all.

We hated LA because that unmitigated sprawl of an urban concrete shithole gave us pollution, gave us fucked-up traffic that clogged our freeways on the weekends (with extraordinarily bad drivers), and gave us gang violence. We hate LA because most Los Angeleans are the most plasticine, shallow, clueless twats in the country. We hate Los Angeles for stealing our NBA team and our NFL team.

So to redirect your rather misguided small-dick energy, we don't hate LA because of the Dodgers; we hate the Dodgers because of LA. And your trash fan base has been on Full Display this series for the entire country to see what we've known for a long, long time.

They've been on the wrong end of the rivalry for a long time, so I get why they are riled up.

The SFV is a strange place man.  I moved back about a year ago.  $1MM+ homes in very nice neighborhoods encapsulated in a complete shithole.   Going to the Van Nuys DMV was like little Beirut.  Only staying here to take care of dad and then it's to Ventura or back to Vegas.

You got some high-level statistical analysis to back that up? Perhaps they have more to laugh at upon self-reflection? 😋

Nah. Beirut isn’t that bad. It’s a beautiful vibrant smugglers bazaar of a city. Better comparison would be Colombo, Sri Lanka.

You guys are fucking hilarious. It was LA trash throwing shit at our players when we pummeled you in Chavez, not the other way around. And unlike LA trash, we stuck around for the Good Guys even when on the wrong end of an 8-run beatdown. I would thus argue your fanbase has been a wee bit more riled up than our own has been this series.

Also, it was your skip who decided to be a drama queen and cry about a ball thrown in his general direction. What a bitch. At least Shildt was classy enough to not try to evoke drama. Like our team does, your team also reflects the personality of your fanbase - sterile, corporate, bought and paid for, shallow and plasticine, and emoting like a bunch of fucking crybabies.

Notice how much cuter the SD rep is compared to big, ugly LA? 😁

I just find it amusing to suggest that big dog-small dog meme is relevant given the fact we owned them all year in the regular season and just bounced them out in four in the NLDS two seasons back.

I mean, the mental gymnastics and hubris to blind themselves to the fact we have more-or-less become their equals is mind-boggling.

Agreed, though I've gotta admit I'm fearing what Ohtani is going to mean to them next year when he both hits and pitches. I mean, it didn't get the Angels anywhere, but nothing ever seems to get the Angels anywhere. I don't know how they lucked into their one championship back in the day. (yes, Dodger fans I know that's one more than us)
