Btw, yer skipper is a dickless crybaby puss of a drama queen who's washed out and at this late stage of his career is more fit to manage a Circle K.

Peter Pan syndrome in full effect.
SWspartan Posted October 9 Posted October 9 The Tigers beat the Guardians 3-0 in Detroit today and take a (2-1) lead in the ALDS. ⚾ My Dad was a Tigers fan so I hope they keep winning. 1
AztecAlien Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Just about an hour to game time. I read that the aroma of lavender can reduce and relieve stress. Go Padres!! 1
SWspartan Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Dodgers shut out the Padres tonight, 8-0. The series is headed back to Los Angeles for game five. ⚾ Go Blue! 3
AztecAlien Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Padres pitchers were throwing hanging meatballs. Location was terrible. Even the balls hit for outs were smoked. Back to the ditch. Go Padres!! 1

Both these teams starters are getting racked (yes I know, Darvish threw a gem, but comeon, if you're counting on too many more of those out of him in the post season you're delusional). Anyway, I think the starting pitching is going to catch up to whichever team advances at some point.

It was also frustrating watching the Padres hitters just taking pitches, especially first pitches right down the middle and getting behind in the count. They better be more aggressive in a must win on Friday, or they're going to be making tee times for the weekend. Go Padres!! 1

The San Diegan Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Dodgers shellacked us last night just like we did to them in Shithole Chavez Ravine on Sunday. However, notice the abject lack of tantrums, or shit, thrown onto the field by us Padres fans. We even applauded Teoscar when he walked over with a ball and handed it to a kid at the wall in Sec 130. And if you watched, then you also noticed a vast majority of us a) actually arrived in time for the fist seven innings, and b) stayed to the end to support our squad - neither of which occurs in Shithole LA. San Diego's fanbase - just like our city - is just better. tl;dr: 2 1 1
The San Diegan Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 So getting to the ballpark about 90 min early, I noticed something after the Doyjers wrapped up BP that hadn't occurred the day before - Dickless Dave the Drama Queen had his guys running drills in front of their dugout. It was like watching a HS practice. By contrast, the Pads were just kicking' it in and around their dugout, looking laid back and relaxed. Now, in hindsight, I know just how focused Roberts had them. And to his credit, he managed his bullpen like a skip who's won a WS. I think last night our swag set in with a degree of confidence that was overshadowed by the Dodgers' will and a roster that tho depleted is still (almost 😀) as talented as our own. What has amazed me most about this series is the symmetry, both on a small scale (namely JP's glove and Mookie's ball in a left-field porch) and large - 7-5 Dodger win Sat in LA, 6-5 Padres win Tue at Petco, and W's for each by an 8-run margin. Can't wait for Friday. 😎 2
The San Diegan Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Oh, and hey, Dodger fan - Manny and yer mom 69. 3

The one saving grace we have in that regard is Darvish took a months-long break in the middle of the season to attend to undisclosed family matters. As a result, he's probably thrown only a half-season worth of pitches to this point. Of course, losing Musgrove was hooj and shortened our rotation from four to three starters who would be the ace on most pitching staffs. I imagine had he started last night instead of Dylan Johnny Ringo Cease going on three days' rest, we would be resting for the NLCS ourselves right now.

However, in the event you were there tonight, I'll be sitting within line-of-sight of your seats, in Section 128. And in the event I am able to go tomorrow night, it will most likely be in the same section (and will def post here), so look for my unique jersey. Either way, if their opportunity allows, I'd be happy to buy you a beer and toast to both Padres and Aztecs. @MissionTrails I kept waiting for you to drop in below! 🙂 I really could have used a 2nd beer given how the game unfolded... I know I wasn't in your line-of-sight per se, but I was still visible enough that random people in the section kept asking to take a picture with Yermom. 😀 True story: my nephew and I are enrt to the ballpark yesterday when a thought crossed my mind followed immediately by an "Oh shit!" I realized that anybody who happened to both a) read this thread, and b) be at the ballpark could come claim their beer. And then the real you would show up and I'd think you were full of shit. 🤣 Also, as we were behind, there was no ATST sing-along in the middle of the 8th in case you were wondering. Hope you had a good time last night regardless of the outcome.
