I never liked the ditching of UTEP by the Airport 5.  UTEP had been a long term partner.   I could understand ditching SJSU and SMU and Rice in fleeing from the SuperWac disaster, but UTEP had been part of the band for a long time.

Really looking forward to a renewed rivalry with UTEP. UNM has spent the majority of its time in the MWC without a natural conference rival. That is going to change and I think will be a net benefit to both UTEP and UNM.

Yup I am happy for UNM in this. Feels like it rights a long-time wrong done to UNM since the MWC was formed.
