Frankly I understand why they don't like us

I get it too. We’ve interfered in the affairs over there for quite some time, probably our most activity outside of LatAm.

That said, anger there isn’t directed at individual Americans…the animosity is towards our gubmint. Even as a Jew, I never had any issues in any country I visited over there, including Iran lulz

Just got confirmation that my friend in Tel Aviv is alive and well, though scared out of her mind. She's half-Palestinian and her boyfriend is Jewish and was born in Israel. A friend of ours was able to get in touch and has relayed some stuff to a group of us.

There were a lot of crazy rumors going around during the attack. There was gunfire that led to ground fears that Iran and/or Hezbollah had sent ground troops into Israel. We're all urging the two of them to find a way to get the fuck out of there. She runs her own business and is traveling half the time anyway.

Can really trace the whole Iran mess back to the 50s when we got assbent over the nationalization of Iran’s oil. The CIA coup caused a lot of hurt feelers…people forget that Iran under the Shah and Israel were quite close.

I guess we should have shot Khomeini in Paris too. Might have helped.

Ironic the Islamists lament Mossadegh and Operation Ajax.  lol or lulz whichever works better.

A long list of early to late Cold War unintended policy consequences.

Iran has to be careful.  Their entire Oil industry is a sitting duck target.  They own't push too hard

That is why they use Hezbollah and Hamas.

Their whole attitude on their proxy pals can best be summed up on the waves of Shiite Afghanis they sent into Syria as cannon fodder during ‘14-‘19.

The proxies are disposable….Hezbollah and Hamas are finding it out just now lulz

I'm not well read on the subject at all, so this will sound like an all time ignorant question: How does Iran view Arabs (who are mostly Sunni) while they themselves are Persian and Shia? I thought the two groups in general did not get along.

Generally Persians view themselves as better than Arabs and don't really get along.

Can you believe Biden hasn't fixed the Midlle East? He must be impaired.

He’ll have a plan to solve it in 2 weeks.

How can he fix something that Kushner already fixed?
