I'll add this real negative to cancel out your 'potential plus'.....

U.S. Department of Education Office of Federal Student Aid Fines Grand Canyon University $37.7 Million for Deceiving Thousands of Students

No thanks to adding a diploma mill.

Yes GCU is worse than others but at all college more than 50% of degrees are completely worthless. They need to overhaul the entire education system.

Who could forget IanForHeisman on the MWC Board saying things like Boise State has the best football team when it is a Thursday in the evening on an odd day in leap years when 1 bulb is out in the overhead lights.  Oh the way he tortured the stats to make Boise look the best.

You don't need to torture stats to make Boise look good. Bad take.

I was watching the mouth breathers from SLC on YT and they were essentially saying that because Gonzaga is a full revenue member that PAC was now at 8 full share members and was safe as a conference again without adding another football school.  Does anybody know the exact rules that make up a conference?

They get 50% of their own basketball credit shares. Same as they got in the WCC.

I've said that PAC FB is a tick above the MWC -- Based on what we're seeing this season -- Historically one could make any kind of argument

SDSU new $300m stadium

CSU new $230m stadium

OSU $162M stadium upgrade

USU $36m luxury seats upgrade

Boise $70m stadium upgrade happening this year (after $10m invested last two years)

Wazzu $180m stadium/facilities upgrades in the last few years or under construction

Fresno… well… they average 40k in football?

I'll bet on the schools putting their money where their mouth is on future success.

I think this has been perfect.  The schools that wanted out of the MW are out.  The MW got a truck load of money to build with.  Hoops in the pac12 will be better than ever.  MW Pac12 games will be fun for years to come.  This is how the spoils are supposed to be used.  Next up Memphis to Pac12.

PAC12 hoops better than ever???

Creative as in "oh you have gonzaga now..   remember when i said no?  it was actually a maybe"

They are also under a lot of pressure from their fan base and social media platforms. Many are saying that they will regret not making the move two years from now, and the AAC doesn't offer them anything.

Translation. Memphis is the #1 choice but they want evidence of how much the TV deal will be worth. If that number isn't good enough the pac moves down the line to get an 8th school.

I'm confused because who the number 8 team ends up being could have a material impact on the media rights evaluation.

Why would they put the cart before the horse on this?

3 months is the equivalent of 600 years in realignment , lol.

Makes sense, the “high value targets” are going to want something a lot more concrete than “trust me bro”.

I think the MWC is probably going to wait too then. Because any school that thinks they have a shot at the Pac is not going to join the MWC until the Pac door is officially closed.

Memphis wants their exit fees paid in full. That's a conversation stopper. All the MW Schools are paying their exit fees . Why does Memphis get a golden ticket ?

Offer them a CCG and to host one Basketball tourney in the next five years. They can pick the years.
