That’s a good point. Might be the best thing to do tomorrow, add those two and then see what Big Sky schools make the most sense.

And therein lies the issue.  WOSU (especially OSU) are not going to be satisfied with destroying the MWC.  The long game is build something temporary that will help them move up a step.  That won't work, but everything coming out of that school has been delusional since this started.

I mentioned this on the MWC board, but the funny thing is that WOSU is giving schools a platform to become more attractive expansion targets. I think SDSU and CSU immediately become more attractive then WOSU to an eastern/central time zone based conference. SDSU is in CA and a good TV market, and CSU is a better fit geographically.

Canzano says announcement in a few hours: "Oregon State and Washington State will vote to formally admit San Diego State, Boise State, Fresno State, and Colorado State to the Pac-12. An announcement is expected at 6 a.m. PT on Thursday, per a conference source."

That's pretty disappointing. I'd imagine CSU didn't initiate this move, but is moving forward with it due to fear of getting permanently left behind. Much of our fanbase likes being in a conference with AFA, WYO, and UNM.

Well, if we're really going to be part of the new Pac (hypothetical), why would we want them.  They've already shown how much loyalty they have, and right after joining the ACC, they'd bail on another conference to go G5.  This Frankenstein thing has a better shot by picking up some decent TX teams than the ex-Pac carpetbaggers.

There will very likely be a couple more MWC schools to get a PAC invite.  I have a hard time thinking this new PAC can pull teams from the East.  Maybe Gonzaga plus another WCC?  Anyway, the MWC departing schools had better get a damn nice raise.  If they tore this conference apart for a pittance, I'll be pissed as hell.

Not a fan of either of those Texas options. Yes, they are located in large markets, but so are San Jose, Vegas, and ABQ.

Nah, those two are hoping to end up in the Big XII if/when the ACC falls apart.  They aren't leaving a Power conference willingly.
