I agree the reverse merger more sense, but o well. But I maintain of all the stuff thrown around the thing that made the LEAST sense was that nonsense of 9 MWC schools joining with the Pac-2.

There aren't any good options.  We'll be lucky to get a C-USA sized media deal.

Eh, maybe from a TV standpoint. But o well, we are fucked as far as TV goes, so whatever. We need to survive. Hanging around as a 7 school conference with a football school for a prolonged period is a recipe for disaster.

IF this is true, then the conference does indeed need to act fast.  A quick reload provides stability.  Without it, then it becomes a mass exodus.

Yup. If the Pac-12 had acted quickly they may have saved themselves. But they hung around and acted all stupid with SDSU and it fucked them because schools got nervous.

This is the 2Pac trying to get the B12 to invite them. Hey, if you don't invite us, you'll never get into the west coast media markets, because we'll take the teams you might be interested in getting in a few years. 

Or it's just more stupid realignment that's going to kill off another conference.

NMSU and UTEP make the most sense for a MWC backfill. They're both already FBS schools and they have history with the rest of the conference.

The 2Pac should swing for the fences and invite Florida State if they can win their lawsuit against the ACC. Then they could rebrand "Pac" as the Pacific Atlantic Conference.
