The timing is weird (would make more sense in spring of '25), the money is still a big question (do WOSU have some sort of letter guaranteeing a media deal? We've seen so many done deals reported that were just rumors. I'll wait to hear something official, and then some specifics. 1
SalinasSpartan Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I’m wondering if the plan is to lure Gonzaga in as one of the two other schools? Would keep the exit fees down. Or do they try to pull in a couple AAC Texas schools? And while I ultimately did think a merge would happen, to be fair to myself, I did say that the only way the Pac-2 would be able to put together a conference that would pay better per school then a full merge would be for a slimmed down version that would definitely include Boise, CSU, and SDSU. I was thinking it’d be 8 football schools plus Gonzaga. 1
UtGrizfan Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Hope the MWC invites both Montanas! We'd love to join! 4 2

With us losing at least four schools there are enough spots that maybe we take them as a packaged deal. Maybe them two, NMSU, and Sac State or something like that.

Not saying it will definitely happen, but it would make sense because of the low exit fees for them.

Soupslam Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Looks like the P2 finally realized they weren’t getting invited to the P4. 2
An Admirer from the East Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Will Boise State still get a larger cut than the rest lol? 2 1 3

Getting down to a single digit number or schools is not good in the current environment, seems to invite more poaching. 2
