Today's mass shooting is in...........

Multiple casualties and injuries have been reported. A local hospital has received multiple patients with gunshot wounds, and at least one victim was airlifted from the scene.

Georgia suburbanites need to remember when they vote that this keeps happening because "pro-life" MAGA Republicans don't want to change the status quo to put additional restrictions on firearms and who may possess them.  As shown in other countries across the globe, this doesn't have to be everyday life in the USA.

I know, I know MAGA will say, "Show some decency...it is too soon...there will be plenty of time to play politics!" followed by "thoughts and prayers."

We have all been through the charade multiple, multiple times.

The reports I'm seeing say 4 dead and 9 wounded according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Gun control and healthcare- two topics almost everyone agrees are broken here, but two we can't seem to agree what to do anything about.

I don't think it is that complicated.

Remember when Gover Norquist made all Republicans sign a pledge to never, under any circumstances, ever, ever increase any tax?  Republicans have signed the same suicide pact with the gun lobby.  No matter how well thought out, there will never, ever, ever, be any Republican who will do anything about it.

Voters seem to be more worried about tan suits and fake southern accents and love playing cowboy too much to do anything about it.

How many of you anti 2nd Amendment clowns are willing to stack up at your neighbor's doors? If you are not willing to do it yourself, then shut the hell up.

I do struggle with this issue. I am 100% for the right to bear arms and think it's an important constitutionally protected right to prevent an authoritarian government from taking broad control. That said, I am not sure how far it extends or should extend- what weapons should we ban vs not ban and would it make a difference or not? The great majority of gun related deaths in the US are handguns and those are certainly not getting banned.

I appreciated your honest approach to this issue. I have a serious problem with the knee jerk idiots who have zero problem punishing law abiding gun owners. That's exactly what happens every time a new feel good gun law gets passed.

It's actually pretty simple, but I will break it down so your compromised intellect can understand.

If you want firearms banned, then you should be willing to go door to door and take them. If you, yourself aren't willing to do it, then shut the hell up. See? Pretty damn simple.

I agree. I own several guns, but I rarely shoot them, so it's not a big part of my life. If the government banned all guns tomorrow, it wouldn't affect my life one way or another with the caveat being that they are able to collect all the guns that are out there, which is where I part ways with the "ban guns" crowd. I honestly don't believe that it's possible to get the hands out of the bad guy's hands, which would leave everyone in a much worse situation than where we're at now.

Sensible gun control laws aren't anti 2nd amendment.

You're making up a strawman.  Nobody around is running on banning all guns and confiscating them forcibly.  Who?  Senate?  House?

This is all a made up BS argument like 'abortions after birth' garbage.

Come on man.
