The Barber Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Thought it might be fun to predict some executive actions we'll see from Joe. A few guesses: (1) full pardon for Hunter Biden (2) full pardon for his brother James Biden (3) naming a new National Park in Idaho, Utah or Wyoming. Seems like every Democrat does this right when they leave office in some western Republican state ---not sure if there is a likely location. (4) Some new executive action about Student Loans. Maybe soon, to try and win votes? (5) Maybe some special status for Puerto Rico? Can he unilaterally try and do something about Statehood? Or at least start a national voting process by accepting their application? Quote

But, he has time. 2) ...seems moot. 3) ...can't do it. Nat. Parks are in the domain of Congress. 4) ...maybe. 5)...he's got bigger things on the agenda. Ukraine and Taiwan are the main focus. Leveraging Bibi, too. We'll see what unfolds there. Other domestic stuff, I'm unsure. I think his focus is going to be all about what helps the D nominee to win in November. The calculations start/end there. After November, tbd. Quote
