His circus act is pretty predictable. “I hate Trump” but likes his polices and voted for him twice smoke screen. 
 

Around election time it gets harder and harder to hide his closet MAGA costume. 
 

He’s starting to double down on MAGA Doctrine. Like clockwork.

Very true, but that's not the thesis of the opinion piece cited.  The basics are the Rs were peaking now (before the Biden switch out), and the Ds have an opportunity to exploit this.  Will they?  No clue.  Will Rogers' famous quote may still hold nearly a century later.  Or, maybe the switch out is the catalyst needed?  Probably a mix.

you don't have to "love" them but you shouldn't summarily dismiss them just because of the D next to their name

That's why there should never be a straight party ticket option on ballots.  If someone is that lazy intellectually, they shouldnt be coddled.

@AlpineSummer, I figured out the perfect job for Connie. He’s already doing it, so he might as well get paid above the table. 
 

He needs to be on one of the Trump/MAGA Super PAC crews. 
 

He’d be on fire with this job. It will blow his Centrist cover though.

Biden's decline is mostly physical.  It's also obviously come more swiftly of recent.  There's not a poster here who could have given his SOTU speech just four+ months back even with two teleprompters and stacks of notes.  Well, maybe @East Village Poltergeist or Joe if he went into training.  There's no conspiracy.   Fuck, just think of 1944 if you want a health coverup.

I think the only thing his SOTU speech really proves is he could still read from a teleprompter.

Then you didn't watch it. There were plenty of ad libs and interactive responses w/the Rs in the crowd.  He towel snapped them more than once.  Biden went off script and engaged the heckling. It's not like he just read verbatim because that's not even how you use teleprompters.  Then compare it to that hilarious R response. lol.

You can choose to believe that Biden went from a combination of Albert Einstein and Usaine Bolt to what we saw during the debate 4 months later if you want to.
