KUGRDON Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Beavers took the first two from WSU with Drew Rasmussen throwing the first perfect game in OSU history. 0-0 in the fourth today.
KUGRDON Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Went 11 innings but Beavers were able to,sweep the Cougs.
All Hail Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Cal sweeps Washington in Seattle and after two weekends, is tied with UCLA in first place at 5-1. Cal has played series vs Oregon and @UW. UCLA has played vs UW, and vs Utah.
Orange Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I have no clue why Oregon State is not ranked in the latest Baseball America poll. 18-5, 4-2 in maybe the best conference in the country.
TKath Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 How are the Bruins doing tonight at San Diego State?
KUGRDON Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Ucla leading 5-2. Ucla needs one out to win. Ucla wins at SDSU. Glad to help ******.
TKath Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I've heard premature ejaculation is a bitch. Oh I wanted this one Klantee. I would have talked for days on it.
All Hail Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Cal needs to stop throwing their 3rd tier pitchers against streaking local California baseball teams. Cal lost 7-2 after pitching a freshman who hasn't pitched all year against the Fresno State ace. Fresno State has now won 5 in a row while Cal suffers its 2nd consecutive loss to a localish California team. The good news is that the Cal ace, Daulton Jeffries, should be available for some relief duty this weekend and should regain his Friday responsibilities the weekend prior. Cal should (key word should) be able to put some distance between them and the other pac 12 teams with 3 consecutive series @Utah, vs WSU, and vs Stanford., which are probably the 3 worst teams in the pac 12 this year. Poor Stanford has lost 3 of their best SP's to injury.
Orange Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Beavs sweep a truly awful San Jose State team. Heads into the weekend series against Cal Poly, who did manage to score a win against SC last week.
glduck Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 oregon is terrible right now, and continues to be a really annoying team to watch. 11 hits against arizona's ace last night, but we're allergic to clutch hitting and only scored 2 runs (one coming on a bases loaded walk). last week, we allowed three asu runs to come by way of balks. last night, we had four errors, and three other mental errors that *should* have been errors. i've never seen a team get thrown out at the plate as much as oregon does, a byproduct of never coming up with clutch hits and the coaches trying to sneak runs across out of necessity. just bad mojo lately.
MrBug708 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 UCLA beat WSU in the friday game and is up 3-0 in game two
TKath Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 UCLA beat WSU in the friday game and is up 3-0 in game two Don't get over excited. It is just WAZZU.
Scscsc89 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 USC takes two out of three on the road at Washington -- one 10-inning win & the other victory went 16.
All Hail Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Cal blows a 2-0 lead in the 8th and misses out on the sweep against Utah. The bullpen has become the teams Achilles heel.
All Hail Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Cal's suffered some key injuries this year including the short term loss of our ace but 3 freshman starters have emerged to post pretty ridiculous numbers. Jeff Bain (4-1, 1.88 ERA), Erik Martinez (1-1, 1.96) and Matt Ladrech (4-3, 2.06). Jeff Bain has replaced Jeffries as our ace and has a 23/4 k/bb ratio. Cal is going to be in great shape with these freshman pitchers and once Jeffries returns, the depth at pitcher will be very strong. Junior Ryan Mason is 4-0 with a 2.74 ERA.
